At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I love nothing more than a practical joke, and this one is an extended, caught on film masterpiece. I first caught this gem on Comedy Central years ago and have have wanted more ever since. Well, we get more. Don, Mole, and Perry now are putting out the "Big Three" podcast (free on Itunes)-basically just as another vehicle for them to mess with Perry. There were points I was unconvinced that Scary Perry is real, but after hearing the guy on a weekly basis now, I'm sold. On the podcast as well as the movie they play Perry like a fiddle. And you don't feel one bit bad for him. He is such an obnoxious arrogant character, it makes the jokes at his expense almost guilt free. And Don and Mole keep them coming! Every scene in this movie is either a joke on Perry or the set up to one. While it is completely ridiculous, I have to give Windy City Heat 10 stars because I can not watch any scene in this movie without giggling like a maniac.

I love the idiots on IMDb who post the movie plot synopsis as if they need to interpret a movie so anyone who watches it will know ahead of time what they are watching. For what purpose...? Understanding? Enjoyment? Scientific advancement?Makes no sense. If you want to comment on a movie, comment on what you got out of it, because movies ---like books, or any thing artful for that matter---- are purely subjective experiences. I have no wish to explain the details of the plot of Windy City Heat. It would serve nothing useful for me to do so. It's got actors, a movie supposedly being filmed, funny plot developments, imagined and real betrayals, situational stuff, sophomoric humor. And the whole thing is friggin' hilarious! This movie works extremely well as a comedy because you never know exactly where it's going to go, and even after it gets to where it has arrived you don't know if it's going to stay there, or why it got there in the first place. And you don't care. It's friggin' hilarious!Basically it's "The Three Stooges Meet Dumb and Dumber" in a Hollywood soundstage. None of it smacks of reality, yet it has that "I-know- people-this-stupid-so-it-seems-half-real" feel about it. I love this movie in all its crudity and ignorance. It truly is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen!! I couldn't help myself laughing at it. Or stop laughing after it was finished and I thought back to scenes. But spare me the total BS of the reality of this 'prank' on Caravello--- -the whole movie is simply that---it's a movie. Enjoy it! Tell your friends about it! They'll love you for it. A great comedy movie!!!

Perry got into an Auto Accident on December 6th, 1979. Three weeks after he got his Drivers License. I was in a Coma and Hospitalized at Loma Linda University and woke on December 25th, 1979. His fathers birthday. He stayed in the Hospital until Febuary 23rd, 1980. September 4th 1983 Perry and his Mother moved to Costa Mesa, Ca. so Perry could attend Coastline Community College for the Tramaticly Head Injured. Then in Febuary 1988 Perry and his mother moved back to Tarzana to help Family matters. Now Perry works a day job for his Cousins at Master Graphics Printing in Reseda, Ca. and also helps his Aunt and Mother with Managing an Apartment Complex. I also do Extra Work on Film sets and so Stand Up Comedy. To include, to this, I also Host Rock Concerts and in the past have put on Rock Concerts and Booked Clubs from as far North as The Majestic Ventura Theater to as far South as The Couch House in San Juan Capistrano where I booked Opening acts for Leslie West's Band "Mountain."

There has been many a comment about the authenticity of this flick as to whether Perry was in on it or not. I can't say for sure because I was not apart of the project. However, I spoke briefly with Bobcat off the record at a Bring The Rock show at Largo a few years back. He swore on his life (with then girlfriend Nikki Cox motioning for him to leave) that Windy City Heat is absolutely real. The Perry is exactly what's portrayed in the film. Also, I went to the only screening at the Laemmle Sunset 5 wherein Jimmy (having just gotten done with Live) backed Bobcat up. At no point does one get the impression that Perry is in on the joke, he is the perfect patsy. Unless he's Andy Kaufman (which I highly doubt) I am more than willing to believe this film to be exactly what it says it is. And what it is is absolutely hilarious.
