All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Hey there,I'm a glass lover. I look at and drool over glass art everyday and though I can't afford my own setup right now, I attempt to learn from the best artists in the world. I want this industry of functional glass art to spread. What makes a piece of art functional is that fact that yes, you can smoke your medication (or if in WA/CO, your recreational herb) through these pieces. However many of them, especially the 10k and up pieces never see the light of a fire. Some people say that as soon as you put a bowl on there its a 'bong' not art. I disagree. There is paraphernalia, stuff made for the primary purpose of smoking, and then there is art, functional glass made for the primary purpose of being art and pushing the boundaries of the glass art world. The art that is currently made by the functional borosilicate movement has become even more amazing in the past 2 years since this film has been made but this film provides an amazing insight into a very large underground movement. It provides insight into the livelihoods of some of the nicest individuals in the world and what they do as artists. Furthermore the director of this film, M. Slinger, is a prominent member in the glassblowing community and displays the community quite well. Of course, don't get the wrong idea that the industry is without competition and an easy peasy world, China glass constantly rains down upon the population that does not wish to spend the money needed for quality art. This film is for someone who is open to new ideas and industries, and would like to learn about one of the most beautiful industries that exists today and that in ten to fifteen years will surely be one of the most important industries in America. The production quality is top notch and displays many beautiful pieces of art that you won't even understand how they can be smoked out of. This is what the counter culture has evolved to, its come of age and wants you to see it all grown up. This film is a perfect display of the next great art movement. I love to spread knowledge of glass, and this film is one of the best things I can give to people.

This documentary is a very well put together calibration of the history and evolution of blowing glass pieces. It's very dynamic and explains how the different techniques and styles evolved. To me it's a very highly recommended film that will show you some amazing art/bongs. Art is everything though, right? So bongs/pipes MUST be ART! Have a great 420 and take a nice bong hit for myself, as I will for you!I would give this movie a definite watch, if not own... So go buy it!It appeals not only to bud smokers but also to artists! Or glass-makers that want to improve their scope/talent!
