It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

I prefer Elvis On Tour more when, That's The Way It Is, It is more based on his career. We get glimpses of his 50's performance and many of great footages. Although there is so many great footage left out which you can find on YouTube. But overall Elvis is energetic and seems to enjoy himself on stage. The year '72 was a great one for sure. The film receiving Golden Globe. Amazing shows in New York. And the announcement of Aloha From Hawaii. I'm surprised they have left out some footages and outtakes, because on them Elvis seems to fool around, which maybe they didn't want people to see. Overall 10/10. Great camera angles and many more, must see!

this documentary was excellent. it is the king at his finest. he comes onto the stage sings a brilliant see see rider with all the surge of electricity of his entrance then he bursts into an excellent Polk salad Annie and rocks the joint. then throughout the film he sings love songs and dramatic songs and more rock songs all with the rawness and power that is the king Elvis Presley! this documentary deserved the golden globe that it had won. it is a professional---yet raw and rocky performance by the king following him from his changing room to the stage and then off stage into his limo and then on to the next city. this film deserves a lot more than what it got in the ratings i would give it a 9/10 because it is not just a film---it is a film of the king of rock'n'roll doing what he does best!

If you're a fan of Elvis Presley like I am, then what's not to love about this thoroughly awesome documentary? It offers an excellent look at the King of Rock of Roll on tour exciting audiences as only he knew how. It's always very refreshing to see Elvis using his extraordinary talent and this film is no exception. A definite recommendation on my part.

This is a great rock-u-mentary! Following The King for 15 days, you see him climb out and in of limousines, rushing on and off scenes, see him waiting backstage thrilled with scene-nerves - and of course - you'll see him perform on stage. The Elvis Presley show from 1972 included old rockers like "Johnny B. Goode" and "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", show-stoppers like "An American Trilogy" and "You Gave Me A Mountain" and the frantic version of "Polk Salad Annie".What REALLY thrills you 'bout this one, is the almost scaring look you get into Elvis' life; always surrounded by his Memphis Mafia, always on tour, always lookin' to please someone else...and then again you see him as he perhaps was deep inside; when he and his guys are singing gospel afterwards the shows.Perhaps this is mostly for fans like myself, but I believe also others could have a thrill out of watching this one!
