It is a performances centric movie
good back-story, and good acting
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
This is a best Finnish movie what i have ever seen. I like Irwin's music and of course this movie. I think that Finnish people can get something more from this movie than e.g. US residents cos they don't know our culture that good than we know. And and I watched the film with english subtitles and there are few scenes where the subtitles don't say the things exatcly how they are, but otherwise subtitles are allright. I give this movie highscore points.
Martti Suosalo gets as close to Irwin Goodman as it's possible for another person. Only negative thing in the movie is that Irwin's last ten years are almost skipped. Great movie, when considered how difficult it is to put 50 yrs of human life into a 100 minute of video tape. Must see for every Finnish person!
Movie was quite a realistic description from Antti Yrjö Hammarbergs life. If you were Irwin fan, you should watch this! There is a lot of great sings on movie, and some rare songs too. Martti Suosalo looks like Irwin and he can act all Irwins gestures well. I recommend this movie for all.
The story of Antti Hammarberg and how he was changed into Irwin Goodman. His friend Vexi Salmi created Irwin and made lyrics to his songs. Irwin sang about booze, love, just everything except The God and Kekkonen, former President of Finland.
