Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

"Speech: Platform Posture and Appearance" is one of those so-called education films guaranteed to make you feel as if a power drill is getting shoved into your brain. So it only makes sense that Mike, Servo and Crow had fun trashing it. They made mincemeat of this cornball short right before they had to watch the equally cornball "Red Zone Cuba". Kenneth Mars, Patty Duke and Robert Reich receive honorable mentions. One interesting thing about "S:PP&A", though. Cast member Herk Harvey is best known as the director of the cult classic "Carnival of Souls", in which he also appears as a mysterious person who may or may not be following the main character (Candice Hilligoss).

I like instructional shorts, generally. Sure, they often seem pretty goofy, but they did serve a purpose, and were generally progressive, despite their occasional tendency to encourage conformity, particularly to roles of gender and social class. But this one!Is it really so important to maintain balance and good posture that it is necessary to compromise your dignity by placing your palms on your knees and swinging your can around in a circular motion? Besides, I actually tried making the Knee Test (strictly in the spirit of investigation, and in the privacy of my own home), and I honestly can't figure out what I was supposed to learn from it.Sorry, but I'm just not buying this one.

Never has speaking before an audience of the undead been so fun. This instructive documentary shows young folks the proper attitude, posture and appearance to have when giving a speech.A fun-filled romp with strange references to baby dolls, flowers and plow horses. Don't forget to swing your hips before getting on stage! And stand up straight. The cast of MST3K has a field day on this one, as it should. I recommend you watch these nine minutes of stupidity only if augmented with Mike and the 'bots running commentary. Otherwise you might learn something, and judging on the merits of this film, that's not a good thing.

For a film about how to improve your speaking ability, this one really doesn't take much of its advice. Bad acting, bad animation and a bad narrator are among the things that shoot this turkey down. Rightfully hacked to pieces by Mystery Science Theater 3000 in one of the better jobs Mike and the bots do on a short.
