The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

This movie hasn't been on Disney Channel for a really long time. But if it were to be on again, I would encourage everyone to watch it. It is such heartwarming movie. Tru is on edge about having to live with a disabled brother. Eddie gets picked on in school, and Tru doesn't like being seen with him. Eddie doesn't like being different. He wants to change who he is so people will like him. The sad part is, he can't change the way he is. When he cries about wanting to be different, it just makes you cry, and realize that we all take normal life for granted. Shia LeBeouf is an amazingly talented actor in this film, shying away from the crazy character, Louis, in order to play Eddie. Cheers to the writers, and to Disney Channel, for making this truly inspiring movie. Jeers to the fact that it's not played anymore.

It's amazing how I talk to kids that are 15 and 17, and they don't even Remember the movie, even though I KNEW they watched it!!! It's truly said, really, it is. This was great Disney movie that had a good message that Disney didn't ruin. Disney should REALLY put it on. Easily the most UNDERRATED movie in Disney history...SERIOUSLY, I DO NOT know why Disney never shows it anymore. Does (Disney) thinks this generation can't handle these types of movies or something. (True life, not all that Disney stuff they show know that basically doesn't portray how highschool is, I don't mean that Disney should put all the bad stuff that highschool has...but still...Disney makes it like...everybody wins, nothing bad happens, something bad happens, but in the end everything gets perfect...arr annoying)! I mean, I know Disney's for young kids, even pre-teens and teens.I remember how Disney was a good chanel, so weird, boy meets world (still show it) smart guy. etc, etc...It's sad, really, it is. Good times, good times...

OMG OMG .. ITS MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER FROM NOW ON... i watched it when it premiered and now i've been thinking of it. i want the book and i want to find a DVD of it. I MUST SEE IT AGAIN! I love the fact that "Even Stevens"'s Shia Lebeof Plays such a dramatic role when normally he plays a comical role. And i love things relating to subjects that have to do with the mind and how it works. My favorite part made me cry... the part where Eddie was flying the kite and it didn't work so he said it must be retarded. It was like he was alluding to himself. Oh yeah the book was good too even though i hadn't read it. Could someone out there please help me find a DVD of the movie. please, and thank you.

All I can say is that I am floored after seeing this movie. It was written about US!! My teenage daughter even said so. My son has high-functioning autism, and she is his only sibling. (They are not twins.) Tru's attitude toward Eddie is nearly identical to what my daughter feels toward her brother. I'd like to think I'm not as clueless as her mom is portrayed to be, as I have worked hard to help my son and allow my daughter to live as normal a life as possible under the circumstances, but the other similarities regarding the family are astonishing. It makes me cry every time I see it, although it's been a long time. I would love to get my hands on a copy!
