The Department of Emotional Integrity (DEI) documents all relationship activity. A 'relationship score' is given to keep people accountable for their choices. The score is public for all to see, and affects various aspects of daily life. Two couples, teenagers and early 30s, face different but intersecting challenges in their relationships within the rules of the DEI.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

In a world where relationships are documented, and break ups accounted for, people are judged by their DEI score. The Department of Emotional Integrity is the center of it all, where everything about a person's relationship is documented. From Wong Fu Productions, one can expect nothing less than a play on emotions and heartbreak. Known for their masterful shorts on YouTube, Wong Fu has done well in managing to produce their first feature film. Having subscribed to Wong Fu for a couple of years already, I can see that this film is characteristic of a Wong Fu short. There's great cinematography and editing (props to the rest of the Wong Fu crew), but the characters are especially a Wong Fu feature. Each character has a certain vulnerability to them that makes audiences sympathize with. This is what makes Wong Fu videos so special, because they are able to bring out those characteristics that make us human. Furthermore, the acting cast did well in their roles. I was actually surprised by Yoo's performance, mainly because I wasn't expecting a lot as I haven't seen him before. But, he was probably the character who held the most weight in the film as it progressed. Ishibashi is believable as a striving to-be owner of a bakery and the chemistry between her and Yoo is credible. Soo Hoo and Park's puppy love is cute but cringe worthy at times. They seem a little too mellow at the beginning, but their chemistry really kicked in when some arguments emerged. Or maybe it was just because they are pretty mellow characters to begin with, as in they're too nice and submissive - especially Haley. Other than some awkward times between the couples, the acting was great. I really like how the YouTube community supports each other; as was shown by the appearance of many different YouTubers in the film. For example: Chris Riedell, Joanna Sotomura, Megan Batoon, Justin James Hughes, and Lana McKissack. Overall, this is definitely a creative concept. The relationships were well developed and the acting did the characters justice. Editing, directing, and cinematography all came together to produce a film worthy of Wong Fu productions.

I saw this with my GF whose been a big Wong Fu fan for awhile now and has been begging me to see this with her. I've seen a couple of their vids but never been a regular follower like her. Going in I already had my doubts when looking at the Vimeo comments that seem to all be made by a bunch of little fan girls calling this a master piece and flawless production. Those were immediately red flags for me that this was not going to be good and I was proved right after seeing this. Basically my complaints are the same as most of the previous reviews here have already pointed out. The acting was pretty bad, almost cringe worthy at times, it made Hayden Christensen from the Star Wars prequels look like Leonardo Dicaprio. The story was badly paced and had a ton of plot holes. The relationships for both couples fell flat to me and I really couldn't get invested in either of them. Its pretty clear that this movie is clearly targeted toward their fan base and I know that Wong Fu most likely had constraints making a film that a major studio wouldn't. However, this still does not mask the fact that the film was pretty subpar. To me its almost comical that you have to pay $15 for this on Vimeo, yet I could go for example to Freddie Wongs channel and watch the popular Video Game High School series, which is far superior in both acting and production for free. I think they charge this much because their fanbase will buy it regardless, which is pretty cheap to me. Sorry Wong Fu if you see this. I'm not being a hater, I know you have had great success and I wish you the best going forward. I'm just being brutally honest in my view of your film for whatever its worth.

I don't usually watch romantic dramas, but I had faith in Asian American people, so much that I illegally torrented it to show my true Asian nature.This film was pretty bad and a clear copy and a less futurized version of the anime psychopass. I found this to be pretty bad.I wouldn't recommend this movie for $5 dollars, but it's worth an illegal download if you have nothing better to do. I saw much racism during this film because they started calling some child's mom a score digger, which translates into someone that is promiscuous. The victim, child, was of course a negroid! It was terrible.

I don't really know what compelled me to pay $5 for this movie because I don't necessarily enjoy their romantic short films, but I did. It's not a horrible movie. It had some good parts, specifically with the older actors. Vimeo really made the experience crappy, as I couldn't log in to finish the movie. Wong Fu uses the same tropes over and over again. All of their shorts and this film are romantic. It just gets kind of old after a while. I think Wong Fu understands their fan base(teenage girls), but at some point they need to change it up. I found some parts to be slightly cringe worthy.
