Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
A lot of fun.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
If you are looking for a film that takes you to a time of sheer innocence, then this is it."Sommerjubel" is simply as the film states: Joy of Summer.Two boys, age ten, spend their summer in idyllic rural surroundings. They play in the fields, they swim au natural, and more often than not - - - they find themselves in the company of those very beings that a ten-year-old boy pretends to hate..... girls! Although simplistic in nature, I found myself enjoying this film that takes me back to the rural upbringing of my own youth. Rarely does a film capture the pure innocence of childhood, as "Sommerjubel".
