Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Wondering if Stephen King happened to see this back in the 60s? It's a possibility since he's a fan of such stuff.Well, Dan the leading man takes a fall off the ladder and hits his head pretty hard with both the hammer and the concrete driveway, requiring hospitalization. While there is no coma, the scene where he is still recuperating and shakes the hand of his visiting boss, then becomes alarmed that he knows that the boss will die at a certain time very soon is Dead Zone all over again.Other than looking for interesting similarities between the two, the soft-core porn sequences are pretty much the most interesting things happening.Just think of it this way: Adolescents get a super-8 camera or video camcorder and decide to remake Dead Zone but with titillation added and no money for scenes, effects, wardrobe, etc.Except that this was released in 1968, so who's copying whom?

Completely skewed. It may be laughable but it is also unsettling. Nothing in it quite fits together. The characters' motivations are difficult to discern bridging gaps across logic and into grey areas. The protagonist is thoroughly unlikeable and never learns from his actions...ever. It is like the director had his own personal vision to make this film with soft core sex scenes added later... as an afterthought? To sell the flick? To fill up running time (even though there were many large leaps of explanation in the movie that could have filled that task)? Also the inserted sex scenes have the lead man looking totally different with monstrous chops to be almost unrecognizable at first- maybe they take place in an unexplained parallel earth. It has Herschell Gordon Lewis' involvement tho there is no gore, it doesn't need it, it is still completely lurid. Colour schemes involve bright lemon yellows mismatched with wood panel browns. This movie feels like real life as seedy and with repeat watchings may still be a puzzle. Brilliant! Much like real life it is not for most people.

First off i'd like to say that none of these women were attractive. And that lesbian scene... it looked like a first kiss between middle schoolers. Anyway This movie is undoubtedly one of the worst movies ever made. The play is loose (if that) the characters are boring, the script is terrible and the cover of the box lies. Dick Genola proves why this is his only movie. Some of the lines though are truly priceless. One line being "You're not a cadever yourself" who uses that to get the girl? I have no idea. Basically all of his pick up lines are terrible. There really is no end. You don't find out if his daughter is dead or even if hiss psychic powers go away. In fact the last 2 or 3 minutes are just what seem to be extra footage and "bloopers" I think they are meant to be a flashback but serve no purpose. There are no credits and it just kind of stops. Although the end song is quite amusing. This is the perfect movie to watch with friends. The lines are quotable and the plot is horrific. just remember that falling off a ladder and having the hammer land in you head doesnt give you psychic powers. i give it a 10.

A man(played by one-time actor Dick Genola) falls off a ladder only to wake up with powers that enable him to look into the future. This is the premise behind this soft-core offering by writer/producer James Hurley and director/director of photography goremeister Herschell Gordon Lewis. To say the story is weak is an understatement. Most of Danny Thomas's psychic predictions are nothing more than plot segments sandwhiched between various soft-core sex scenes(none of them particularly erotic either). The film has no special message, no thematic or moral value, and little entertainment to offer. The girls at least are attractive in that 60's way, and have ample busts to parade about. But is this really a vehicle for such content? Some of the acting is just plain awful(and beyond that if possible!). Watch at your own peril or if you like laughing at poorly made films, but it sure doesn't take a psychic to figure out that this one will lay a great big egg.
