Very Cool!!!
Such a frustrating disappointment
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Touted at the time as Australias answer to Human Traffic I decided to give this film a watch. Never have I regretted a decision more. This film I nothing but anti drug propaganda set to a mediocre soundtrack and wooden acting. Don't bother, I have seen better film on teeth after a three day bender.
Not a great movie, but a good message of music found in nature - environmental and accidental sounds as a basis for electronic "trance"... But where was the good trance?I wanted to watch and enjoy. I wanted to recognise and relate. "Trance-Zen-Dance"???... But where was the Zen?? The realism wasn't there. This dance underworld crowd no substance.This movie's story could have been developed or changed a lot before the attempt at making it. Not much else to say except don't watch it, or maybe it will be enjoyed by future generations for unknown reasons.
I saw this film at the Up Over Down Under film festival in London and I was completely blown away by it. The music was incredible, the storyline realistic and the acting was fantastic. But it makes me sad that in reality, most people around the world won't get to see it as it doesn't have any 'big' Hollywood names or any special CGI effects. Yet I thought this was so much better than the films currently being churned out of Tinseltown and has so much more going for it. Go and see it if you get the opportunity; it will make you laugh and make you cry. And it even might make you think twice about drugs and doing something positive with your life.
One perfect day is one of the most amazing films i have ever seen. It made me laugh and cry and inspired me to try so many things.it sends an obvious message about drugs which everyone can understand after seeing this film. it also has a message about music. it shows that no matter what kind of music you're into or what experience you've had, jut giving composing a go can make so many people happy. one perfect day shows music as an alternative to drugs because of the natural high it gives. you don't need to like dance music to enjoy one perfect day. its very sad and very beautiful. i love it!
