It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Ok so I am a Najarra Townsend fan having seen her in contracted and contracted phase 2, and also recently in Wolf Mother (superb film), but seriously I don't know what she was thinking accepting even a tiny part in this craporama! Folks it's better to watch paint dry on the wall than this garbage!
You should definitely keep aways from this movie if you want something thrilling or scary. This is a very and I mean VERY slow movie. The plot develops at a snails pace. You won't even miss anything really if you just leave for 10 minutes and come back to continue watching. The acting is not terrible but I just couldn't get into the mood of the movie. If felt bland, uninspired and boring up until the "finale" that felt like it was over in less than three minutes. Also the "monster" at the end looked like it just jumped out of a 90s horror movie. What I do think is very well done is the sound design of the movie. The sounds of the "monster" following him work wonderful with surround sound.
This was described as "not for the faint of heart" and I can only surmise that the individual's taste is far different from mine or that person was involved with the film or knew people involved with the film. When part of a positive review is that it was filmed on film, well that is not pertinent to whether the film is good or not.The story moves very slowly and is not very involving. Basically a one person film, the other characters make a short appearance and disappear. I wish there was some way to make these reviews and rating more honest. The rating was well over 7, to me that means we are talking about an exceptional film. Not the case here!! This was a disappointing experience. Let's try to be more honest with each other, shall we?
Probably one of the better independent horror films out in the festival circuit. You can judge it for being slowly paced, but it's one of the few Micro-Budget films actually shot on FILM. You have to give it to these guys for creating an original movie, I can't say that I've seen anything like this before. It's deliberately paced and is a different type of horror. If you are even slightly interested, check it out!I think the cinematography is pretty impressive for the budget, and has some great ideas that have never been done before. Using sound and darkness to create a sense of dread, it's pretty cool. I would love to see a bigger budget version from the same director!
