Hide and Creep (2004)
In the sleepy town of Thorsby, Alabama, no one had a life. Then the dead showed up. Now instead of just killing time the people of Thorsby are killing each other, taking up arms as the zombies take to the streets, the barbecue joints and the strip bars. Soon spaceships are flying overhead, federal agents are patrolling the grounds and a few fearless individuals are joining forces to run like hell.

Such a frustrating disappointment
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Blistering performances.
This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////HIDE AND CREEP -🌟🌟🌟🌟.5////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////This film was included in a horror box set I own, and from the ones I've seen this is the best film in the set. Some people didn't get it, but this film is a complete comedy. It is a very different film, and honestly it's funnier Thant most Hollywood comedy films. Basically everything in the film is hilarious, the characters, the dialog, the zombies, and the funniest part is how easily the characters come to terms with the zombie apocalypse. It's hilarious. I recommend this movie.
I like zombie movies but this amateur effort has nothing going for it at all. I don't really mind that the zombie makeup is pathetic or the lousy acting but there's very little story and absolutely zero laughs. When someone makes a really terrible amateurish film like this you always see comments like "so funny, buy the DVD!" - why would any normal viewer suggest that? I really can't imagine anyone watching this and rushing out to buy it. Watching it once was bad enough. Cast and crew comments for sure. The worst bit of this feeble effort is the way zombies just appear behind people robbing it of any tension whatsoever. You can't blame that on low budget, it's just lousy writing and lousy direction. To compare it to the amusing Shaun of the Dead is just a complete joke, and it's the only one that this alleged comedy horror provides.
This is a funny movie, and it's clever. If you don't get the jokes it's a problem with your sense of humor, not the writing. By the way, the movie was made for $26,000. If it had jaw-dropping special fx and make-up at that budget, it should've won an Oscar. It's entertainment, plain and simple. It's fun. Nudity, hunting clubs, and post-its are funny here. The scene in the sheriff's office with the corpse dumping is great. And once again people, I'd like to point out that it was $26,000. Which means that all you can afford is film, a camera, and a few props, so the rest is riding on the imagination of the writers/directors. Anyone can make something that you can eat popcorn to for a couple of hours with a big budget. And it will be palatable to the masses. But making something original and funny on a shoe-string budget is an accomplishment.Anyways, it's worth a watch.
Any good review of this film was done by someone that had a stake in the movie. This waste of time is supposed to be an amusing spoof on low budget zombie movies. The rationale given by the makers of this crap fest was "that's why the make-up is so bad, it's funny!" NO IT'S NOT! It's just plain dumb! The DVD cover said "better than Shaun of the dead." NO IT'S NOT! Not even close! Shaun was a spoof and a well done one. Hide and Creep actually justifies censorship and book burning (in this case, script burning if it had a script). I actually got my money back from Hollywood video for this waste of 4 bucks. I would've enjoyed flushing the money down the toilet more than spending it on Hide and Creep...an utterly talentless, stupid and unfunny imposition on my time.
