Prison of the Dead (2000)
Kristof, an eccentric rich kid, tricks his high school friends into getting back together for a reunion of sorts, under the pretense of a funeral. The group of twenty-somethings is forced to spend the night in an old abandoned witches' prison. During a Ouija Board séance, the schoolmates accidentally unearth three dead executioners from their graves. A little confused, and quite a bit angry, the Crypt Keepers initiate a killing spree that will only end when everyone is dead. Fortunately, the schoolmates all wore black. Too bad it's for their own funerals...

I love this movie so much
Better Late Then Never
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
AHAHA... I rented this movie back when I was in 8th grade and having a movie night with a friend. We were like "oo, this sounds really scary!" So we watched it, and laughed our butts off the whole way through. In all honest, the only thing I remember from the movie is "oo, zombie sex!" Well, that, and the acting was not that great. I think this would be a good movie to watch if you're stoned, drunk, or both. Maybe not event then. I don't know. I'm notorious for liking bad movies, and even I didn't like it. That should say something. This movie is so not memorable, that I can't even think of ten lines to write about it. I seem to remember the cheesy graphics though. Oh, I also remember thinking that the girl who ends up being the zombie for the "zombie sex" was pretty hot.
but this is a bit of an underachievement, even by my standards.First, the positive aspects of this film: The acting is actually passable, especially when compared to some classic B-Movies. The setting and atmosphere are pretty good. The plot actually has some promise. Finally, it's short.Now the bad things about this film: There is no sexuality or gore in this movie. Really. I don't understand how it even got an "R" rating instead of a "PG-13" as there's not even partial nudity and no overt gore. I guess it was the language. For example, there's a sex scene where both characters get intimate...while both are still in their underwear. (To be honest, the female character has apparently brought a negligee to the funeral home for a viewing, which I think demonstrates some forethought.) And every time a sharp object is brought down, the camera cuts away to a discreet spray of fake blood. The action itself is completely confined to three or four rooms in the strangest funeral home I've ever seen. It's a combination working funeral home, ruined prison, and fully furnished (with clean towels and hot water) caretaker's house. Go figure.Anyway, don't waste your time unless you're a fan of the director's or one or more of the actor's.
Personally I didnt think the movie was that bad, I mean some parts were alright and the others just sucked. But I've been trying to find that one song when Rory and Michele was in the room doing it. If anyone has seen the movie and recognizes the song will you please email me and tell me the name and who sings it because this is driving me nuts.
Contrary to other reviews of this movie, I thought it actually was worth a second and third watch. starts out spooky and ends spooky. very suspenseful without one of those twisted hard to follow "plots" like in bigger budget movies. filmed nicely, effects are decent, acting is not bad, this is a big budget B movie. i've seen a lot of garbage on video and this is not one of them. if you want to see crap, rent VENGEANCE OF THE DEAD, just pure sewer bilge, but the main character is nice to look at, so it's not all bad...
