In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

I don't understand why this movie deserves an above 8 score. The story is all right. The acting, dialogue, direction is ridiculous. The background music feels just like noise. A few songs are all right. The movie claims to be based on actual events. Well the director should have done more research before suggesting Indian intelligence agency's playing any role in terrorism in Pakistan.Well i guess Pakistan just knows to accuse but there is a certain thing as proof which is needed to prove accusation as fact. The monster of terrorism is Pakistan's own creation and now they are blaming India for their own mistake. This is stupid. I also urge Indians to down-vote this movie as best as they can.

A job well done! Considering that this is coming from Pakistan, where for years cinema culture has been waning, its a visual treat. Pakistani movie makers are riding on the strength of fresh blood and youth, who are determined to showcase their talents. WAAR has set the bar high. Amazing performances and brilliant direction! This one is a notch higher than any Bollywood thriller in recent times. The plot of the movie could have been a little more tighter but again as more movies get made here, the more improvements one is likely to witness. Shaan Shahid proves that he is made for the big screen. He is Pakistan's version of Cruise. Although the comparison is a little far fetched but the man is widely respected and honored across the country. KUDOS to the entire team for churning out an wonderful movie. Hope the trend now continues.

As an Indian, i had never seen a Pakistani movie before. Seeing that it was a super hit in Pakistan, i decided to watch the free version on YouTube. My review:1) Think of a North Korean propaganda movie, with North Korean stars, produced, starred and directed by its dictator, Kim Jong-un, himself.2) Nothing is more laughable than desi actors attempting British/American accent thorough the entire movie. It comes across as corny and cartoonish. Very distracting and overshadowed the plot. It got so bad , i had to stop several times and force myself to complete watching it.3) The Hero seems to be more worried about being caught without his sun-glasses than by his enemies. 4) Looking at the bravery of the hero and his fellow countrymen in the movie, one gets the mistaken impression that Pakistan must have won every single war and skirmish against India. 5) This must be the only movie in the history of Cinema where Muslims are the good guys and everyone else the bad guys.

Well as i ve seen the movie twice in cinema & multiple times in mobile & PCs, i finally decided to give my reviews regarding WAAR. After a long long time, we see a movie in Pakistan that has attracted a multitude of viewers all around the country. The cinematography and special effects are something rare in Pakistan. Shan is no doubt currently the best actor in Pakistan film industry and he has proved his skills in the film with utmost maturity. Hamza Ali Abbassi, the face in the cinema has shown astonishing dialouge delivery & an ATS skills. Shamoon played a real bad ass without a sense of pity. Director Bilal Lashari, who studied film-making in California, says: "There was just no question, even if people were telling me: 'How can you do without them?'.From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before.. Everyone here has been following Bollywood but the best we can ever come up with is going to be a B grade knock off. We need to create our own identity" & hell yeah he did!!For audiences here, it is going to be a complete 180 degree shift. From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before." There is story, special effects, action scenes, performance, direction and so on that decide the fate of a film. Judging on these pure cinema related merits, the movie is a wonderful of especially keeping in mind the plight of film making in Pakistan. This was breath of fresh air for Pakistani audience who were rightly disappointed and had ceased to go to the theatres. As A Whole Waar Is A Brilliantly Made Action Packed Big Budget Patriotic Pakistani Feature Film Which Leaves You With Just A Single Word "WOW". A Worthy Must Watch.
