The Hard Problem of Carl (2023)
Following a woman who works as a “contact tracer” for artificial intelligence. Responding to a call, she discovers the strange situation of a man apparently “captured” by the emerging AI of his smart refrigerator. There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
