Must See Movie...
It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Korean cinema is lucky to have their own serious political clash between north & south. Because of that, they got a lot of idea on how to manipulate it into their cinematic ways. Since 70s north-south subject is a popular theme, a lot of this kind of movie got pretty good box-office in Korea. Such as Joint Security Area, Shiri, Silmido, Commitment, & the latest one Secretly Greatly, there is a lot actually and korean people love it. This movie is about North Korean spies who live in South Korea in a long time, they got family, business, financial problem like everybody else but when it come to mission, they change. Its comedy is pretty good, you don't have to understand their culture to laugh, its pretty laughable internationally I guess. I love it. The action is intense, gun-fight looks very cool and all the fighting scene is stylish & well choreographed. The drama, as usual korean is really expert in this field (drama-thriller), you can use a little bit of tear for some scene. By the way, all the actor are those usual veteran korean actor so no wonder why they act really well and so convincing. If you love korean movie like I SAW THE DEVIL, this one is not what you're looking for. If you want some fun, this is it!
