Perfect cast and a good story

As Good As It Gets

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

We take a look and analyze the final New Years Revolution event for WWE.Match 1: Jeff Hardy (c) vs Johnny Nitro for the Intercontinental Championship in a Steel Cage match - Another good one from these two. They put on some good matches during their feud that lasted 2006-2007. Overall some very nice spots in this cage match. Jeff was extremely over with the crowd and got a major reaction. The finish was very well done as Jeff Hardy escapes the cage to retain the Championship.Match 2: Cryme Tyme vs The Highlanders vs The World's Greatest Tag Team vs Jim Duggan & Super Crazy vs Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch in a Tag Team Turmoil match - A match added to fill the time, if I must put it simply to you. We see teams like The Highlanders, The World's Greatest Tag Team and Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch that could have been so much more than they were. Then we have a team like Jim Duggan & Super Crazy that makes you scratch your head in confusion. The match was overall a 20 minute waste. In the end Cryme Tyme gets the win.Match 3: Ric Flair vs Kenny Dykstra - I understood that WWE was trying to push Kenny, but Ric Flair is quite possibly one of the greatest names in wrestling history. The man is a 16 time World Champion, he has competed at the grandest stages in both WWE & WCW, but at this event he was paid to overall job to a former male cheerleader. The match was just a waste of time. In the end Dykstra gets the win over Flair, a complete miss. They didn't even end up pushing Kenny anyway.Match 4: Mickie James (c) vs Victoria for the Women's Championship - Both women are extremely hot, and can wrestle. This match was what it was, and was good for what it was. Maybe not the best match these two have ever put out, but still a decent mid card match. In the end Mickie retains her title after pinning Victoria.Match 5: Rated RKO (c) vs D-Generation X for the World Tag Team Championship - The match of the night. Edge & Orton really worked well together for the short time that they were a team. DX was well over with the crowd and got an ever bigger pop than dare we say... John Cena. The match was really good and showcased all four of Raw's top talents. Towards the end Triple H hits a spinebuster on Orton and suffers the knee injury that kept him out until SummerSlam. The match ends in a no contest, which the fans hate. Even though the ending wasn't clear cut, it was still a very good tag team match.Match 6: Carlito vs Chris Masters - This feud we have seen drag on from early 2006 is still going. Remember when Carlito faced Masters at Backlash 2006? Well they dropped the ball and just randomly picked up the feud again for this match. It wasn't the greatest and in the end Masters is able to defeat Carlito. As far as I know, this was the last match these two had against each other.Match 7: John Cena (c) vs Umaga for the WWE Championship - At this point in his title reign, Cena wasn't nearly as annoying as he was by the end of 2007. At this point Umaga had been undefeated since debuting in the WWE, and it was booked like Umaga was going to beat John Cena for the WWE Championship and continue going undefeated. Well the fans weren't really into Umaga, but Cena got the massive mixed reaction that he always gets. The match was fairly decent, Cena has some wrestling ability. In the end he pins Umaga and retains the WWE Championship. Ending the winning streak of Umaga in the process.

This PPV could have been better but it was better than all the other ones.Match 1: Johnny Nitro Vs Jeff Hardy IC TITLE This match was at times boring, but you have to love the ending. WINNER: Jeff Hardy RATING: 7/10Match 2: Tag Team Tumoril A bad match in my eyes. WINNERS: Cryme Tyme. RATING: 5/10Match 3:Kenny Vs Ric Flair This match was okay but wrong winner. WINNER: Kenny. RATING: 6/10Match 4:Mikie James Vs Victoria WOMENS TITLE I don't like many women matches but this one had potential but it was bad. WINNER: Mikie James. RATING: 4/10Match 5:DX Vs Rated RKO Tag Titles Very good match to bad about Triple H. WINNERS: No Contest. Rating: 8/10Match 6: Carlito Vs Chris Masters Could have been good but it was bad. WINNER: Chris Masters. RATING: 4/10Match 7: Umaga Vs Cena WWE TITLE A good match but it did not match there one at the rumble. WINNER: Cena. RATING: 8/10. SHOW RATING: 85/100

WWE started of 2007 with a strong pay-per-view offering by recent standards. The Kemper Arena was the scene for one of the more intriguing main events of late. John Cena was headlining the show putting the WWE Championship on the line against the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. Add a little Cage match for the Intercontinental title, one hell of a grudge match for the Tag Team titles and a "Kill Bill" style storyline for the Woman's Championship and things were looking good for the fans in Kansas City.Like Armageddon, New Years Revolution opened on a gimmick match. The Steel Cage was lowered for the battle between Johnny Nitro and defending IC Champion, Jeff Hardy. The match was as good as to be expected with a lot of high risk and highflying manoeuvres which went back and forth. The cage wasn't really used much to injure either man; it was more used as a piece of furniture for them to jump about in. The ending came when Nitro, who was trying to escape over the cage, fell crotch first onto the Cage door as Hardy made his exit. I don't think this feud is over yet.A bonus match was next on the cards. A Tag Team Turmoil match for the No 1# contendership to the Tag Team Championship. The action was good when Haas and Benjamin were in the ring but failed and seemed to drag on once Murdoch and Cade eliminated them. Before their elimination Haas and Benjamin eliminated The Highlanders and Hacksaw and Super Crazy. It was Cryme Tyme who entered last and that advantage gave them the win.Ric Flair lay down for Kenny Dykstra in match 3. This was an average match to say the best. WWE is obviously grooming Kenny for big things. Dykstra used the low blow and small package to do away with Flair. I also need to point out that Flair looked ancient in this match.Victoria was unsuccessful in her attempt to take the Woman's Championship from Mickie James. This was a good match that was mainly in favour of Victoria. Melina tried to get involved towards the end but out came Maria and Candice Michelle to stop her. Mickie picked up the win with a bulldog. After the match all the divas that Victoria had done away with over the past six weeks celebrated with the Woman's Champion. Nice touch.Match of the night honours goes hands down to the bloody battle for the Tag Team Championship. In a math far more superior to any DX battle since their reunion they went to a non-finish with Edge and Randy Orton. This was fast paced, exciting, brutal and just down right nasty. It should also be noted that HHH injured himself seriously in this one. We can only hope that the leg injury he received will not keep him out of the ring for too long. Orton, Edge and HBK all bled heavily in this match.Chris Masters defeated Carlito in a good match but the crowd really weren't into it straight after the bloodbath before it. Masters won with a handful of tights. I don't know why WWE want to push Masters over Carlito.Then came the main event. Another physical championship match this time between Cena and Umaga. This match was all Umaga; Cena played the role of the human crash test dummy brilliantly. He made Umaga look like a monster in this one. Credit to WWE. It would have been easy for them to make this go to a double dq or count out to keep both the steak alive and the title on Cena, instead they did the right thing and Cena stole the win after moving out of the bulldozers way and pinning him 123 with a cradle.So 2007 is up and running and it got of to a pretty good start. All the matches were as good as could be expected or as was the case in the main event, much better than what we could have hoped for. Hopefully they will take this momentum into the Royal Rumble on January 28th.ResultsJeff Hardy d. Johnny Nitro (Intercontinental Title/Steel Cage Match) 6.5/10 Cryme Tyme d. The first pay- per view of 2007 was not a disappointment that much to kick off the new year with New Years Revolution.First match-Jeff Hardy vs. Johnny Nitro w/ Melina in a Steel Cage match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.This was a great steel cage match with no flaws as these two men put on great matches when they are in the ring together. Jeff Hardy wins after escaping through the cage door while Johnny Nitro was crotched on the Steel Cage door. 6/10 Second match- Tag Team Turmoil {Which was announced as a bonus match} A very great Tag Team Turmoil match, probably the best one I saw in quite a while, teams that were included were World's Greatest Tag Team, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, The Highlanders, Cryme Tyme & Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy. Cryme Tyme win after eliminating Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch as the last team to earn a future World Tag Team Championship title shot. 6/10 Third match- Ric Flair vs. Kenny Dykstra Even though Kenny won, this match still was very good in my opinion, too bad Ric Flair lost by a roll-up by Kenny. 5/10 Fourth match- Victoria vs. Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship Not really bad but a bit too short to amount anything. Still it's good that Mickie James won after Melina tried to interfere but Maria & Candice Michelle made the save which allowed Mickie James to reverse a Widow's Peak & nail a roll-up on Victoria for the victory. 4/10 Fifth match- DX vs. Rated R-K-O for the World Tag Team Championship in a no disqualification tag team match.Wow, now this is the best match of the night, I don't think I've ever seen a bloodier & so violent tag team match up like this. Too bad the match ended in a no contest as Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton & Edge were all busted up while HHH seriously injured his knee after attempting a spine-buster went wrong. 7/10 Sixth match- Carlito w/ Torrie Wilson vs. Chris Masters Even though I didn't watch Backlash 2006, I reckon their match at Backlash was way better than this, this match was just a bit slow & these two men weren't really putting that much of a fight. 3/10 Seventh match- John Cena vs. Umaga w/ Armando Eljandro Estrada for the WWE Championship.Finally Umaga has met his match against the best wrestler alive today which is WWE Champion John Cena. A great battle by these two men even though it might of been sloppy at times. After failing to attempt at least 3 F-U's, John Cena reverses a Samoan Bulldozer & gets a roll-up on Umaga to retain his WWE Championship & end Umaga's undefeated streak. 5/10 So far this was not a really bad pay-per view but the last two New Years Revolution pay per views might of been a bit better than this one. But this was still a very good pay per view to say the least.Overall: 7/10 & a C
