The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

Of course, I'm not surprised by the low critical ratings of this film. But considering what Hollywood is putting out there, I can tell you that this film is, for the most part, better than a lot of the stuff that's being put out.And by the way: If you're going to downgrade a film's rating because you're obviously anti-Christian film, that's being dishonest (and a poor reviewer). Watch the film regardless of the worldview. Then give your view of how the film works and doesn't work. Very few films in the world would deserve only 1 star! And SIX: THE MARK UNLEASHED doesn't deserve that. But from what I've seen of this film, it is a well-made film with good performances, for the most part, and with an ending that I didn't expect. Yes, it is a Christian-made film with an evangelical thrust to it--but not too heavy-handed. What I like most about the film are the manner in which they display Christian characters as normative, and relational, with the backdrop of a supernatural God Who is moving in their midst. The film is set in the future when the timeline of human history is wrapping up.I loved the performances of Stephen Baldwin, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and of special note, Troy Winbush as Lewis who brings a rare honesty and drama to his role as a lost man who finds Christ while in prison. His onscreen conversion is truly inspirational; it's hard not to shed a tear while watching it.I recommend this film. It's not perfect, but it deserves to be classified as an above average film that happens to be made by Christian creators.

or faith. a film with, at the first sigh, a very precise target. and this fact impose to ignore the artistic value or the presence of Eric Roberts and Stephen Baldwin. the warning about the anti-Christ mark, control of masses, the fight for freedom, the way of Damascus and the links between very different men. nothing original. but, in same measure, it is more than a religious film. its political message could be, for a part of public, more important. because it is the illustration of the old war between state and citizens. sure, not used in the right manner but useful for serve the idea. the conspiracy theories, the fear about the last days, the need of hope, the memories about lines from the book of Apocalypse. each is part of the idea who defines this film.

I'm given a "9" to this film simply because I think it deserves some love and respect... and that it talks things which are actually true.I understand that these days it's become such an obligation for people (whether on IMDb or "Rotten Tomatoes") to give low ratings to films that are in any terms spiritual, talking about God, the Bible, Christ, and so on. But also if it contains much cheesiness, low budget, amateur acting, or lousy writing. But try watching "Facing the Giants", "The Encounter", "Flywheel", "Fireproof", "Time Changer", or "Courageous" and you may think otherwise! And none of that even came across to me in this film! I enjoyed it a good deal. All fine performances from each of the actors - a good film worth enough for any decent, honorable family to own and watch. Much for spiritual nourishment & well-awareness & warning. This flick was a great dose of reality! God warned us it would happen, and it will happen.Love David A. R. White mostly for his performance in "God's Not Dead" and his powerful film he directed "The Encounter".Stephen Baldwin is bold for standing up for his Christian faith amongst the darkness in Hollywood.Jeffrey Dean Morgan.... who could forget him as the excellent John Winchester in the "Supernatural" TV series, that's I guess somewhat inspired quite a bit by the biblical sort of elements.Happy 10 anniversaryPS: In fact, there is actually a very important person I think you should now about who's been imprisoned for his faith, and also for being very effective! The guy's name is Dr. Kent Hovind, an evangelist on Creation, Evolution, and Dinosaurs. Try searching him up sometime, maybe on YouTube - he's really worth it!9/10

an useful film. for Christians and, in same measure, for the searcher of answers in crisis period. useful for discover a great problem in Christian circles debates and its solution. so, for large part of its viewers, the film is far to be a Sci. Fi. but a predictable script. as Greek Orthodox, I am not the fan of manner to present the problem - in Protestant way - but it could be one of forms for remind the prediction from New Testament. so, it is only a Protestant movie with its virtues and, for a part of public, its errors. a good movie for message. but it only presents but not has the ambition to convince. a film who reminds many black utopia but, in same measure , the word from Apocalypse. a film who reflects many social fears of last decades.
