Tiff sideways in the brand new Subaru WRX STi. Jonny heads to the Geneva Motor Show. Tom joins a Welsh mountain rescue team for the day to put the Hummer H3 through its paces. Tiff and Jason pit the Mini Cooper S Works and the Renault Clio Cup against each other to find out which is best. Shootout: Ford Focus RS versus Ford Escort Cosworth.

Jason goes offroading with England rugby captain, Phil Vickery. Vicki compares the new electric powered Smart ED to it’s gasoline powered counterpart, the Smart FourTwo. Tom Ford heads up to the Arctic Circle for some extreme testing of the new Volvo XC70. Tiff takes the all new the Lexus IS F out onto a track. Shootout: Ford Fiesta ST versus Vauxhall Corsa SRi.

Volkswagen camper van comparison: Tom and Jonny test the retro Danbury Rio against the modern Volkswagen California. Jason on the track in the new Nissan GT-R. Tom finds out what happens when a 5 star crash rating car crashes into a tree. Tiff in Audi’s most powerful production car, the Audi RS6 Avant, a station wagon. Shootout: Mini One versus Fiat 500.

Travis Pastrana talks about his experiences in Freestyle Motocross and rally racing. Tom tests the Land Rover Freelander and Nissan X-Trail at the Kinnaird estate in Perthshire, Scotland. Jonny takes a BMW 635d, the world’s first diesel grand tourer, to Poland in search of cheap diesel. Tom goes offroading in a Unimog U500. Tiff tests James Bond’s latest car, the Aston Martin DBS. Shootout: fast van shootout with the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline against the Mercedes Vito X.

Tom and Jonny enter a 100 year old gruelling 24 hour off-road driving event called the Exeter Trial in an old Volkswagen Beetle. Tiff tests the all-new Audi A3 Cabriolet to see if it can change his opinion of convertibles. Children under the age of 3 can travel in the back of a taxi with no child seat, so Fifth Gear crashes a taxi to find out just how unsafe this practice really is. The new Maserati GranTurismo is coming to the UK, so Jason takes it out for a spin. Shootout: an eighteen year old Lotus Carlton versus it’s modern day equivalent, the Vauxhall VXR8.

Tom tests the all new Toyota Landcruiser. Jonny drives the new lightweight Mazda 2. Tiff and Jason put the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG head-to-head. Vicki learns how a Hollywood-style car barrel roll is done. Shootout: Renault Clio 197 R27 versus Rage Buggy R180RT.

Jason takes Mercedes-Benz CLK 53 AMG Black Series to Silverstone. Tiff teaches TV chef Heston Blumenthal how to powerslide his BMW M5. Shootout: Vicki puts the Lotus Exige S against the Caterham CSR at Anglesey.
