Hopkins is a seven-part documentary TV series set at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, a teaching hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. It premiered in the United States on June 26, 2008, on ABC and is currently airing in syndication on the We TV Network. The theme for the show "So Much to Say" was written by songwriter Matthew Puckett. The series won a Peabody award. Created as a real-life adjunct to the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy, it follows the professional lives of hospital caregivers and their patients. The show is a follow-up to the ABC Special Hopkins 24/7, from 2000. Boston Med, which aired on ABC in June–August 2010, was produced by the same team behind Hopkins.

A girl adopted from China undergoes heart surgery for an unknown cardiac problem. A doctor gets stitches in his forehead from a colleague. Dr. Andy Cameron has trouble balancing his life as a transplant surgeon and as a father.

A surgical resident makes a mistake that causes a patient to have surgery. A pediatric resident cares for premature infants. A surgeon takes on a 3 way kidney transplant. A transport nurse tries to save a child during a transfer to Hopkins.

Having left a career as a successful dentist for a career in surgery he was told he could not have, a tough–talking plastic surgeon demonstrates skills unmatched anywhere as he makes the ugly beautiful and gives those without hope a future. Also three eager medical students jump at the chance to participate in patient care, but find that patients are less than thrilled to be guinea pigs.
