Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

In the era of the 90's when action movies were beginning to flourish and Steven Seagal came onto the screen with some success as Hard To Kill, Above the Law, Out For Justice and Under Siege, upon us I thought was anew action hero. As the years have passed and Seagal looking portly and weathered the film he does now are absolute garbage and less than a B movie style. In this viewers complete opinion the film has no true character arc, plot is/and has been beaten to death, the action scenes as in shootings, fight scenes were deplorable. The editing is poorly strung together, acting itself is pushed hard and badly done. The plot is completely weak in it's drive to tell the story. JUST because it is Seagal I give this a 4/10. Truly do not waste your time.

'The Keeper' is a decent entertainer, that works due to its fairly written Screenplay & Steven Seagal's butt-kicking performance. 'The Keeper' Synopsis: An LA cop, who after nearly being killed by his greedy partner, and eventually being forced to retire for medical reasons, flees to San Antonio, Texas. Until one day, when his old friend asks him to protect his daughter by serving as a bodyguard. 'The Keeper' works because both, the Screenplay & Seagal, don't disappoint. The Screenplay is entirely predictable & even loose at times, but luckily, the impressive action-sequences & a consistent pace, sail it through. Keoni Waxman's Direction is average. Seagal, despite having put-on a lot off weight, still is a bad-ass! He's still got the stuff. His butt-kicking act adds only as a plus for 'The Keeper'.On the whole, If you're a Seagal fan like me, then do watch 'The Keeper'.

Am a huge fan of Seagal, my father and I are both huge fans of him and we both love his movies. I also seen some of his new movies some are bad some are good, but this one is the worst one of all! This movies is waste of money and time! Seagal you own me 94.min of my time! This movie of yours is real disappointment!! This is Keoni Waxman's movie and is really awful! He's other movie's A Dangerous Man and Hunt To Kill are one of his best one so far,but this on is a big disappointment for all Seagal fans! When the movie begins it supposed to be an awesome action movie with a great story line. After Roland Sallinger an L.A. cop nearly gets killed by his greedy partner Trevor and then goes to hospital. His partner Trevor shows up and try to kill Sallinger and get's killed by Sallinger himself in my story Trevor shouldn't showed up in Hospital to kill Sallinger, he should gave out his statement what happened: quit the force after his partner was shot and wounded and would have flies with the money he stole from drug dealers. Sallinger recovers his attack after one year later his being forced to retire for medical reasons and get's contact from his best friend he flees to San Antonio, Texas, after being asked for his help to work as a bodyguard for the daughter of a wealthy businessman his best friend. When mobsters set up and kidnap Nikita, Roland goes after them and find's out that his ex greedy partner works for a big shot mobster like Cross. After he run out of money he started working for big shot's like Cross. At the end of the movie it supposed to be a great showdown between mobsters and Trevor like on some car yard during daylight but no! Sallinger should get his revenge and justice on Trevor for betraying him , but no! Then Nikita's boyfriend "Mason Silver" what is his story? He supposed be a great boxer but, instead he was a chicken and mean selfish person whole entire movie. He was a drug addicted and he treated Nikita low. He lied that he loved her, when he didn't he set her up and betrayed her, mostly because of his greed for money. At the end of the movie he should die, Seagal should kill him but he didn't! The real Nikita's boyfriend Mason should might be a loser, but he should show his boxing skills and been a Seagal's sidekick! Not some retarded loser!! Then what's was wrong with this music in this picture? Some dumb Mexican awful old music. The story was in America not Mexico! This movie is really awful. So am giving this movie 1 out of 10. Watch: Today You Die and A Dangerous Man instead stay away from this movie. Oh and one last thing: the acting was bad, the dialog was bad and the fighting scene were awful bad. Seegal you disappointed me in your Aikido style.

Seagal looks like he is returning to form after nearly seven or so risible films made in the mid-noughties.Seagal plays Sallinger or Ballinger depending on where you join the film, an ex cop who gets betrayed by his partner at the beginning, nearly killed, and has to nurse himself back to help, all the while complaining about taking pills and not having long enough jackets. He gets a call from a mate in Texas, who offers him a job and a hat to look after his daughter after there was a kidnappimg attempt on her. The rest is pure filler, there is something to do with uranium, and the girls boyfriend being a bit of a idiot, but it's all down to the action.Part Hard to kill (the first act), part The Hard Corps, and mostly Man On Fire, this has to be Seagals best film in over five years. The story is good, Seagal looks like he is putting some effort into his role finally, and their is no evidence of a stunt double or voice double this time.It still looks cheaply made, but at least it wasn't filmed in Romania. There are a few plot holes, especially at the beginning, why is his Niece actually in the film? there is no point, and we never really get to know how well Sallinger knew his partner. The action scenes are okay, a lot more exciting than Seagal previous efforts, and the bad guys really know how to fall after being shot.So it's not the greatest film in the world, but for Seagal, it's a triumph, it's a shame to know he never put in this much effort with Sony, then he would be more respected.
