Battle of Los Angeles (2011)

best movie i've ever seen.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

This so called "movie" is a total piece of ship! DO NOT PAY TO SEE THIS FILM! IT'S DISGUSTING!Never before have I fallen asleep at a cinema, but today, I did. My brain thought it was a waste of energy to watch this, so it shut itself off. After a few god-awful gunshots, and me finishing my popcorn, I fell asleep. To be sure I didn't miss out on anything, I pirated the movie to see it again, and guess what!:I FELL ASLEEP AGAIN! (No, I do not have a sleeping problem)I boiled a cup of espresso, so I could watch it over again. When I finished, I had a conclusion: GOD AWFUL SI-FI RIPOFF!If the scale was from 1 - 1000, It'd still be on 1!IT SUCKS!

The quality of this movie has nothing to do with low budget, but a complete lack of skills. From everyone. And it's not in the category "so bad, it makes you laugh" either. I'm actually angry that they made me waste at least 10 minutes of my life on this piece of c. Makes you wonder who actually paid someone to make this, was it a lost bet? A rich person that had it on his/hers bucket list? Not a blind person i guess, because even with your eyes closed the FX and dialog's suck. Your four year old niece could probably come up with a more creative idea for aliens after seeing Independence day. The actors must have known about the script and the concept before they signed, because they are of equal quality. Of course, being in so much pain after 10 minutes that i had to turn it off, i might not have seen the whole crew. Isn't there anything positive? Anything? Nope. Unless a few beautiful faces is enough for you. Oh, and isn't it a criminal offense to name the title almost identical to an actually good movie?

BATTLE LOS ANGELES was in fact better than SKYLINE but this particular film is not BATTLE LOS ANGELES, its actually BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES (notice the difference in the title) and it sucked way worse than SKYLINE.To sum up this film in short without spoilers is to say, the plot was pretty stupid, the acting was terrible, the characters were a combination of moronic and annoying, the action scenes consisted of backyard explosion, spaceships that look like they were done with Windows Movie Maker type animation and the best part is the guns the people use don't even go bang they go "Poof" Emphasis on the bad sound effects.In terms of recommending it, I would say steer clear, you are guaranteed to be annoyed.

this movie was so bad i decided to make a booze run because i had to be hammered to even watch it. like with everything i watch i don't base it off of crappy graphics (which there were plenty of) i base it off of the story which was pure... well i would say sh*t but thats not even bad enough to explain how horrible it was. seriously whoever though it would be cool to bring a katana to a alien invasion and attempt to make it look good must of been retarded or watches too much anime. The Title of the movie often confuses people with Battle: Los Angeles which was awesome. if you see this movie thinking you are going to watch Battle: Los Angeles then you will be disappointed.
