This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

I was quite surprised by this movie, firstly to discover it was British, seems like a genre forgotten in Britain in recent times, and secondly I was surprised by how good it was. The concept was quite unique I thought, not the typical Zombie break out film, more a Zombie break in movie. People paying to gun down Zombies in a post zombie attack world, combined with some dark charity work dealings it made for interesting viewing. Less graphic and gory then equivalent American productions, I think it's fair to say the film focused more on the scenario. well acted, Jessica de Gouw and Dougray Scott both pretty good. Some very fine scenes, I thought the end chase looked fantastic, very reminiscent of World War Z. If you go in with moderate expectations you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you haven't figured it out "Z" is for zombie in all these misspelled titles. After the first viral zombie outbreak, "Brimstone Protocol" was issued, which were drone strikes...in Star Trek philosophy it is "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the zombie." Two billion people died, and Valerie Wilton (Claire Goose) is now making great profits by turning an island not cleared into a resort hunting ground. People pay outrageous sums to hunt and kill zombies. They have a careful Jurassic Park set-up. It is more like Deer Camp where "sportsmen" rest in a tree stand while shooting animals with high powered rifles in a baited field.Melanie (Jessica De Gouw) has issues dealing with what happened. So in order to deal with killing 2 billion people (she also lost her father) it is recommended she go kill a few undead herself...like taking more poison to cure the effects of poisoning. We watch Sadie (Elen Rhys) download a virus into the Rezorts computer (My spell check is going crazy). We already know the outcome as the Brimstone Protocol was issued for the island. This whole story is a flashback. The only question is will our final girl escape, how, and will anyone else survive? There is also a slight twist.I liked the film and the character Archer (Dougray Scott) which could have used a high dollar tough guy star. Melanie, our main character was by design to be slightly mousy. She projected a protagonist that was bland. I liked the original idea, decently executed. Valerie Wilton needed to be a more of a flamboyant showman. The island was supposed to located about where the Azores would be, but was filmed in the Philippines.Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Another good British zombie movie, and in my opinion it was a thrilling film. Good played by the casts, excellent plot, and the zombie makeup wasn't bad at all. I like the outbreak situation, just like watching Jurassic Park but the dinosaurs being replaced by the dead a.k.a. zombies. Even though at the end we know what's going to happen, but still curious to see until the movie finish.

Gotta give it up to the actors. With the blatant thefts in the script department, no actor phoned it in. Not that they were Oscar-worthy, especially the Rezort founder, but they did their parts despite the barely hour devoted to changing this from Jurassic Park 1, 2, 4 and many more sci-fi films of recent years. Add them to the make-up crew who also showed up prepared to do their best, and you don't have a complete throw-away film. The Rezort tells the tale after the zombie outbreak war that segregated zombies to one specific island where tourists feel secure to hunt and kill the remaining zombies. But, what could possibly go wrong? Duh. Movie.Really, if you aren't as critical as me and haven't seen 97% of the movies I have, you might enjoy this Zombie Park film. Thanks to the cast and make-up artists, it made a barely recommendation from me. ***Final thoughts: At least Kevin Shen, the "tour guide," was cute enough to keep my interest. Oh, and the Walking Dead rip-off (who also appeared in World War Z,) Sadie was cool. See? It's not all that bad.
