There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

This is a strong social drama. In fact, one of the best I've seen in a long time. A treasure I missed when it was released to the cinema, but luckily it appeared on tv one evening. This is a film about people who live far away from the glorified characters we often encounter in American movies. Here is the tough realism for all involved. And the tools are strong. Although the movie's main character is both tough and rugged, this is a warm movie between people who find each other. Who finds comfort, love and warmth in each other's friendship. I'm glad I knew the least of this movie before I saw it, so I shove some of the content. I want to say that the action is strong and touching. Amazing actors, who really give life to these people who have big challenges, but try as well as they can. The message of this film has to be; don't jugde the book by it's cover! I had a strong movie experience when I saw this one.

This is my very first review of a Non-English movie ever. I watched the movie like a year ago and I gave it a 7.5 but after viewing it again I gave it an 8 which looks more appropriate to this amazing movie.I just watched this movie cause I like Marion Cotillard the movie centers around a guy (Matthias Schoenaerts) who is a boxer and also in charge of his son living with his sister meets and develops bond with Stephanie (Marion) after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident. Alain according to me is a careless man and particularly lives life on his own term of a guy on the other hand Stephanie is the completely opposite of him. I totally love this movie the main thing that I like the most is the chemistry of these two its truly amazing. The scene I like the most is when Alain decides to go fight again and Shephanie was shocked. The direction was great and also the CGI which was remarkably marvelous.I would recommend this to everyone.

This movie is pathetic. There is not any discernible part. When i look at the other reviews about the movie, it is commonly mentioned that the movie is about disabled people. Before than that there is another very important and hurtful situation in the movie. Wild animals should not be captured and locked in the aquaparks. If the story is very dramatic, the only reason is the whales that are trapped in the aquapark. That's horrible. Making profit from that is even worse... Instead of being against the captured animals, the director of the movie shows the whales in way that they like to stay trapped in bath tub. They are shown as if they can be used a part of rehabilitation of people they have had an accident causing permanent disability.

I just cannot get this film out of my head. It touched me so deeply and I'm still trying to figure out why. It seems to me that it's a film which is almost impossible to define. I feel unable to do it any justice because it is so much more than the sum of its parts( but don't misunderstand me, its parts are v good) It is so subtle and complex that individual viewers will take very different things from it. Whatever else it may be though, it was in my view, one of the most convincing and touching love stories I've ever seen on screen. Top notch performances. Not an easy watch by any means, but so rewarding. What I admire most is the absolute refusal to resort to sentimentality. We feel what we feel, without manipulation. The minute it finished I wanted to watch it all over again and having done so I feel I am only just getting to grips with the many levels the film works on and its message/s. Even after several viewings certain aspects of it still puzzle me, but in a good way. Highly intelligent film making.
