My Best Friend's Girl (2008)

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

Ho ho ho. Whoever thought this was worth making needs to be forced to watch it three times - I don't think ANYONE could watch this film three times, it could be added to the Geneva Convention's list of prohibited punishments for prisoners of war. Drab, witless and Utterly unengaging lines "she's going to lose her s**t like a s**t-collector with amnesia" are trotted out by deeply unfunny actors. It's like a teenage boy's idea of what makes a good comedy after spending a whole weekend watching Ashton Kutcher movies. Dane Cook is dreadful - there are unpaid utility bills on top of my fridge which are more likely to make me laugh. The characters are highly unlikeable - but their crass personalities are doubtless accurate reflections of the kind of people who were responsible for a) writing this b) producing it. It's baffling, and truly depressing that such films get made.

Please, somebody tell to miss Hudson read screenplay, before acting in movies. Please, somebody tell to Mr. Cook - go back to bar, and never again try to by a movie actor. Please, somebody tell to Jason Biggs - back to last job, before you start your carrier. Please, Mr. Doitch - stop directing a movies, you are not for this job. Please, somebody tell a screenwriter - before you write something new - read a some books, or better - never again write. Hollywood lose your sense fora a good rom-com. If you, folks, need a good rom-com white black satiric humor, please search a from something different place - maybe a British movies, or from another European country. Escuse my bad English - just this not my birth language.

This was so great! Loved it. So very funny. Though I did love it, I had a few problems with it…surprise right? I'm picky, I know.First of all, it had way too many, overdone cliché moments. A few examples: Girl in the sunlight, guy doing best friend a favor then falls for girl, big scene towards the end where everything comes out in the open. They had this public outing of all the events and confusion more than once! Once is definitely more than enough. It's too corny for my taste. I hate the public fight and make up scenes.Though hilarious, it was too predictable. I feel like I have seen the same movie 100 times.Example of very similar films: Failure to Launch, Wedding Crashers, Good Luck Chuck If you liked this film you will like all of the above that I mentioned. They all have the same humor and light feel. I liked them all, they are all just too similar.I love Dane Cook but he always plays the same character. He needs to expand out of his type cast.Kate Hudson was great and beautiful, as always.I couldn't really feel bad for the Jason Biggs character. He was the best friend that got screwed over but he was so annoying. It was difficult to like him.Lizzy Caplan was awesome. Her character was one of the best ones in the film.Is Alec Baldwin ever going to play a likable character???

This was one of the best comedies I have ever seen. I literally had beverage spewing out of my mouth. Those who didn't like it? Well they must be more the conservative prudish type. Was it a little raunchy? yes. But thats partly what made it so funny. When you are thinking "o no he didn't" you then see "o yes he did". Dane cook is absolutely friggen hilarious! And anyone who knows dane cook knows his comedy style. So you get what you are expecting. No, you get better! I didn't see this at the movies- it was a rental. And glad I didn't because the laughter would have drowned out the movie! But, it would ahev been worth it. Maybe I just have a dirty/nasty sense of humor, but i have recommended this movie to all my friends and family.
