School is out, and three girls head to the beach for vacation. Two of the girls are world-wise party-goers who attempt to loosen up their naive, virginal friend, whose uncle has allowed the girls to stay at his beach house. When the near-sighted, drug smuggling Captain Bly dumps his cargo of marijuana, the bales wash up on shore. The two party girls, Ginger and Ducky, quickly stuff the dope into giant bags and spirit it back to the beach house, where it fuels a party with assorted misfits, delivery persons, and passersby.

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Two girls visit another on the beach....party, nosy neighbors, creepy caretaker, pot washes up on beach, uncle owner...stereotypes galore, plenty of breasts, no real plot. Debra Blee with a memorable top removal at end that wore out my VHS tape.No swearing or sex. Nudity includes 80's "B" actress Debra Blee, Val Kline- lone credit, ZZ Top video girl Jeana Tomasina, redhead Jeanette Linné, TV actresses Corinne Bohrer, Tessa Richarde, Catherine Mary Stewart of "The Last Starfighter"

1st watched 1/31/2015, 2 out of 10(Dir-Pat Townsend): Pretty bad teen exploitation movie about a group of girls who are given a beach house to use while an uncle is away – so, of course, the parties start and never really cease. The niece, who actually is given the place, is the tamest of the group, but her friends are the party animals who kind of take over by bringing in the booze, marijuana, and – of course, the boys. There a couple of subplots that try to bring in humor but neither of them do a very good job of it. The first involves a bumbling gardener who finds himself hurting himself over and over again as he peeks in on the festivities. The other story involves a pirate-like ship holding bags of weed, and being chased by a coast guard group who are far from perfect. Then we have your typical will boy get girl scenario between Debra Blee's tamer character and James Daughton's semi-nice guy. Will they ever hook up ?? Do we care ?? There is plenty of nudity, boob and ass shaking – but very little plot that we care about. The only thing that kept me from giving this the lowest of the scale is the quality of some of the girls especially Jeana Tomasina – who can be seen on some of the rock videos from the decade and is a knockout. It's kind of lame when this is the only redeeming quality to a movie, but this is the case. I'm pretty sure Crown International made some money from these low-budget teen teasers because there are plenty of them. Most of them have very little to give to the movie world though, and this is no exception. Avoid this unless you want to see Miss Tomasina in all her glory.

I saw a trailer for THE BEACH GIRLS while I was working my way through BCI Eclipse' Drive-in Cult Classics 1, 2, 3, and 4 (featuring Crown International Pictures releases) on DVD.In this offering, BCI paired THE BEACH GIRLS with "Coach" as a "Welcome to the Grindhouse double feature." Sex, drugs, alcohol, post-graduation party; and, drug smugglers… this film holds nothing back! This movie is everything "American Pie" wanted to be (but without the pastry abuse!)Like other Crown International Pictures features, THE BEACH GIRLS packs a lot of story in a very short time. It is almost a cross between "Malibu Beach" and, "Weekend with the Babysitter." THE BEACH GIRLS features a group of young people graduating from high school into a way of life where sex and drugs are widespread, without any moral consequences. In the opening scene, when we first meet Sarah, we can see that Debra Blee really has a "Jane March kind of vibe going on" (think "Color of Night"); and, sense the simmering sexual undercurrent that lies beneath the bookish exterior, which is the whole point of the movie. As for the supporting cast, Bert Rosario, as the horny gardener, steals every scene he is in – he is hilarious, with some of the best physical comedy and sight gags in the film! The fight between Wang and the gardener was a scream. The score features fun beach music and driving rock ballads.A nice flashback to the fictionalized version of the early 80s.

I love the "Beach Girls"! This movie kicks some serious butt!! This movie is a great example of 80's fun; back when people, life, and movies were much more carefree. There was no "Just Say NO" campaigns and no AIDS - just a lot of people who wanted to have the most fun they could possibly have!! Uptight Sarah (a beautiful Debra Blee) is staying at her rich Uncle Carl's luxurious beach pad on Paradise Beach for the summer. Lucky for her, she's invited her two wild, hot, out of control partying girlfriends Ginger (Val Kline) and Ducky (Jeana Tomasina) to join her. While Ginger and Ducky are making the drive out to Uncle Carls place, they pick up hitchhiker Scott (James Daughton) and bring him along for the ride.As soon as the girls arrive they waste no time in getting the party started. First item of business: BOYS! So they pick up the phone book, order them selves a pizza boy, a repairman, and anyone else they can get to show up.Its not long before the party is raging- the clothes start coming off right away and everyone is drinkin, dancing, and getting high. This is all very exciting for the local gardner (a fantastically funny Bert Rosario), who watches in awe and excitement at the going on's around him.Its not long before Uncle Carl gets word of the party, so he hightails it down to put a stop to it. Not wanting to be a jerk, he tells Sarah that her friends can continue with their party through the evening, but they all have to leave in the morning...including Ginger and Ducky. Of course, the two bombshells overhear this, and set out to seduce Uncle Carl with sex, drugs, and booze in an effort to win him over. There's also a small subplot with the Coast Guard trying to infiltrate to some weed smugglers by boat- who end up dumping several trashbags full of pot overboard- where they eventually are discovered by none other than Ginger and Ducky the next day.So whats to do?? Throw the wildest party ever! And they sure do! During party night #2, Sarah (whos been falling for Scott) decides she is tired of everyone telling her to "lighten up" and decides she is gonna follow in the footsteps of her two girlfriends. This movie is filled with plenty of T&A, clichés, and drug references. Its pure mindless fun, but fun nonetheless!! A very enjoyable, simple and silly movie!! As for the "Pom Pom Girls"....never seen it but the DVD is worth it for the "Beach Girls" alone!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
