For that time even for now they could manage to shoot very diffucult scenes. I was watching some cheap ass 2018 movies they cant even close to this movie. I dont know what is the reason behind that movie to make, but directors ( this young stupid ones especially) must watch this. After that they should think about making movie and to be come a director.

It's sixty-six minutes of perhaps the most arresting imagery in movie history, also one of the most dynamic. Every shot includes movement of some kind, whether people, smoke, guns, or the prow of history overtaking us. There's no scene of focal conversation, let alone silent talk. Thus politics of revolt remain largely unregistered. Instead the symbolism of rotten meat force-fed to sailors sums up crumbling Tsarist rule. The revolt is told in compelling movement, crowds rushing to and fro, Tsarist forces ahead or behind. One after another, the human wave cascades, with hardly time to breathe. Surely, the Odessa Steps is one of the most memorable in all moviedom; at the same time, a common humanity is deepened-- the dead baby, the shattered eyeglasses. Yes, the 1905 revolt failed. But seed was planted taking down Tsarist rule but ten years later. No need to go on—the film's brilliance is there for all to see, and remains so though not a word is spoken. It's Eisenstein's masterpiece, an enduring one-of-a-kind.

A lot of people note that director Sergei Eisenstein was ahead of his time with his 'film montage' technique, used so effectively in the massacre scene on the steps of Odessa, but it should also be noted that he captures brilliant images throughout this movie. It's certainly worth watching as a result, and is probably a must for students of film. However, what undoubtedly stirred emotions in 1925 – possibly sympathy for the communist movement, or fear of inciting revolutionary thoughts given the mutiny that takes place on the Potemkin, or squeamishness at the moments of violence (all of which contributed to the film being banned in many countries, including the Soviet Union!) – is less impactful ninety years later. It also suffers for being a propaganda film, with less nuance in its characters and plot.

"Battleship Potemkin" is one of the most famous movies in history and is also considered as one of the masterpieces of world cinema. In this movie we watch a protest strike that started when the crew was given rotten meat for dinner and ended in a riot. After that the sailors raised the red flag and tried to start the revolution in their home port Odessa. This movie is divided into five episodes which are:1) 'Men and Maggots', in which the sailors protest because they gave them to eat rotten meat, 2) 'Drama on the Deck', in which the sailors mutiny and their leader (Vakulinchuk) is killed, 3) 'A Dead Man Calls for Justice' in which Vakulinchuk's body is lament by the people of Odessa, 4) 'The Odessa Staircase', in which Tsarist soldiers massacre the Odessans, 5) 'The Rendezvous with the Squadron', in which after all of these the sailors cheer on the rebellious battleship and join the mutiny. Some things that we have to mention about this movie are that is based on historical events and shows us everything about the Battleship Potemkin. I liked this movie because of the direction of Sergei M. Eisenstein which I found very good and also for the music. Finally I have to say that "Battleship Potemkin" is fairly considered as one of the best movies in the history of cinema and I strongly recommend it to everyone who is a fan of cinema. This movie is very well divided into episodes which give us a better view about what happened back then and also make us understand better the history behind this.
