Vampires: Los Muertos (2002)

One of my all time favorites.

Best movie ever!

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

It is a good idea to see this film only you are fan of Diego Luna or Jon Bon Jovi. not because it is a bad film ( it really is ) but because the script, the director and the performances are absent. the story is too well known. the cliches are the same, the end is familiar, the love / revenge stories are not different. and , like in many other cases, the though after final credits is the same - it could be better.

The acting isn't great, but who cares??? acting is bad in like every movie these days. The only problem i really had with this movie is that the vampires could walk during the day after they performed a ceremony or something which didn't exactly make any sense. I thought the weapon Jon Bon Jovi used in the beginning was awkward, but original (a pistol that shoots stakes, it looks weird) but the rest of the movie isn;t really bad. I liked the vampire scene in the church when they use the spears to kill the vampires. The plot is weird and doesn't go along with other vampire movies, but i managed, I say you just check this film out not expecting the best, its not the best, but its not the worst either.

If your like me, first viewing i turned it off 30mins through! but if your willing to give it another go, think hard either decision your a winner.I told myself, You know Bon Jovi's a bad actor but persist with it, so now I'm on the second viewing i felt drowsy but i still persisted, and it was quite watchable! not the worst vampire flick, but it's not the best either, it's NOOO From Dusk til Dawn, but it's abit better than the sequels JUST! OR MAYBE the same for excitement, although the 3rd is not bad at all. I thought the acting abilities of Natasha Gregson Wagner were quite good! not bad at all she's no Theron/Jovovich/Foster but she's good, and also Arly Jover was good! nasty fiesty looking, convincing also as a vampire. Diego Luna(Open Range) was also not bad he did afew cool looking things esp the first chapter you see with him. but as for Bon Jovi, stick to what your good at, he's harmless but ain't no vampire killer! lol he's a surfer at least try a sequel to Blue Crush or something not Vampires! lol Either way you can miss this & not miss out on a thing, not bad but could've been better using a good actor in the lead role, not Bon Jovi, with that changed could've been good!

Ugh, what can I say other than, ugh. I rented this film because it was labeled as a sequel to the original Vampires. This movie could not have been any lamer. Lacking not only in plot, but the acting is atrocious. Combined with some obvious plot holes makes this movie a very hard one to watch. Many times I questioned my own sanity at continuing to watch the film long after the plot had jumped the shark. Here's a sampling of the lamer aspects...***SPOILERS***Professional "Slayer" insists on sleeping outdoors by himself at night. He wakes up to a woman crying, sitting no more than 3 feet from him in the middle of nowhere. He immediately goes to comfort her without questioning her sudden appearance. She goes from crying to seducing him, and he lets it happen with obvious results...One of the main characters is Zoe, was bitten by a Vampire, but as long as she takes these "experimental pills" she got in Mexico City, she's fine, although her body temperature is below room temperature...Guard outside of monastery where hero is staying the night is killed by vampires, hero leaves the next day. He then returns a day later only to be surprised that the vampires attacked the monastery the night after he left......avoid this movie.
