A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
This is a rare cracker of a movie. I've seen it several times. Gripping. Ignore the bad reviews. The look like they're a campaign of idiots with nothing better to do.Bear in mind it's not a zombie, slasher or jump-scare flick. It's a very clever intelligent horror film.
I was looking forward to watching it after reading loads of positive reviews but I just wasted 90 minutes or so of my life
I know this film is old, only by a few years but definitely worth watching. I only found out about this last night. I downloaded this overnight & had to watch this when alone, my boyfriend won't even watch The Walking Dead. Any horror stuff he makes me watch when he's gone to bed. I started viewing this film not paying it much attention. After five minutes I was hooked. The whole film is almost set in the one place, a radio station. Our main characters are the talk radio DJ & his producer. With just the producers assistant helping the action comes mainly in to the station via calls in. The weather guy, a policeman, town residents contact them and they all try & workout what is happening in Pontypool. Over the course of the film they gradually start to put together a picture of events. Again the Canadian mindset is just as messed up as the Australians and thank the Lord they are.
Loved this film ,the acting is cool especially the lead roles. This could easily be a stage play, and should ! Original in its builds beautifully with some clever humour that doesn't take away the horror of the situation they are in. Stephen McHattie is the cool Disc Jockey trying to keep his cool, and his facial expressions (acting) make this very watchable. Clever dialogue and a fast script. A horror film with imagination (yours) One of the best films I've seen, how did i overlook this from 2008 ? Anyway watch it,it's good. No spoilers here, just a recommendation to take a look at this gem . I've given this a film 9 because it's the best film I've seen so far this year, and the fact I watched it twice over two nights, which I've not done in along time.
