It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Having GodIlla fight a clone of himself on paper sounds weird. How would it be unique? Well SpaceGodzilla is actually quite menacing, he captures Godzilla's son and wishes to take over the world. The monster fights are good, there's good screen time for Godzilla, which is always good, but like a lot of movies he takes a backseat to MOGURA, who is a less cool version of MechaGodzilla. For a nearly 2 hr movie, the 40th anniversary film of Godzilla is actually quite entertaining, but suffer the series common problem that some of the the other Heisi era films escaped from. But all in all, good film.

GODZILLA VS. SPACE GODZILLA is the follow up to GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA II, retaining actress Megumi Odaka who returns in her role as a psychic who has a special connection to the Big G. This is also a sequel insofar as Little Godzilla from the previous film returns, looking remarkably different but just as cute. The storyline also boasts Mothra in a cameo appearance, but for the most part this is about the two titular titans slugging it out. What I liked about this film was the storyline, which has direct links back to GODZILLA VS. BIOLLANTE so that it almost makes sense. Otherwise it's business as usual, another colourful sci-fi romp from Toho, packed with monster action and human incident. The monster stuff is particularly fun this time around, with Space Godzilla an impressive-looking opponent. There's also something new in the crystal structures he forms, making himself a nest in a devastated city, which I liked. The human story is slightly less intriguing, with a lack of clear-cut villains and far too much emphasis on Moguera, which is a pared-down version of MechaGodzilla which lacks the same impact. Still these films are undemanding fun as ever and it's difficult not to have fun with it.

Underrated Godzilla movie. Here we have Godzilla fighting Space Godzilla. OK, so they are obviously running out of monsters here, but at least it ties in with the previous titles. Space Godzilla was created after the spores of Biollante, or possibly some of the big G's DNA from Mothra, mutated with something or BLAH BLAH BLAH. Who cares? It's Godzilla, and there's a monster that needs fighting. The film also has some great human characters, with a man out for vengeance after Godzilla killed his friend. Despite this, he has a soft spot for little Godzilla. The battles are fairly lengthy, maybe too much so. Space Godzilla starts turning things into crystals, which is bad. Telepathy, space, monsters, ridiculous science. It's Godzilla and it rocks.

I am a huge Godzilla fan, I grew up with Godzilla, I just love seeing this awesome monster just destroy cities and fighting other monsters. I like his enemies as well but Godzilla is the Icon! This Godzilla film is a great one. The story is very good and I really love the way Godzilla looks in this film. I love it when he roars and moves his tail. As for his enemy SpaceGodzilla, he too is awesome. He has some great powers and I like it when he roars. This space monsters is a colorful one. He is just full of colors. The fights between the two monsters is really good. The acting by the film's human stars are also good. The music is great! I really love this Godzilla film for many reasons and its arguably the best! If you love Godzilla I strongly recommend that you do what I did and buy Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla today!
