I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Investing your money and time in a sci-fi project itself requires a size-able amount of courage and kudos to Shah Rukh Khan to have trusted the script of Ra.One. We see viewers complaining about lack of international films in India n at the same time have no qualms criticizing the person who gave it a push. No hard feeling against the critics but Ra.One stands as the victory of Indian Cinema if you look at the visual effects in the film. The movie begins with game designer Shekhar (SRK) all set to match his son Prateik's expectations of being an ideal father. Sonia ( Kareena Kapoor ) is a passionate Mom but gets stuck between the father's efforts and son's demands. The film takes a turn when Shekhar strikes gold when he creates the virtual catastrophic demon Ra.One in his much anticipated game RA.ONE. The hell breaks loose when this catastrophic villain RA.ONE leaves the virtual world to enter the real world. Shekhar is found dead in his wrecked car thus his death is assumed to be a disastrous car accident. No one has slightest idea about Ra.One behind this calamity. Ra.One sets of to kill his son Prateik aka Lucifer. Now its upto the virtual superhero G.one ( Shah Rukh Khan) to save Prateik. Chammak Challo is Akon at its best. Bhare Naina makes you feel the soul and the emotion behind it. Raftarein gives you an urge to get up an shake a leg. The visual effects are eye poppers. You will find your heart beating really fast during the train sequence where G.one tries to stop an out- of-control train. The screenplay appears flawed at points but it can be well overlooked in front of the innovative concept and technology used in the film. Shah Rukh Khan with his magnum opus RA.ONE has proved himself to be the game changer of Bollywood.

This is only a film that can be watched for fun and time pass. It has no logic really.Story is about a video game designer who happens to design a virtual game that results in the development of a virtual villain who wants to come to earth and take over. The concept is illogical but the film action sequences, dances and peppy numbers make for a good entertainer, especially on big screen. There is some degree of overacting. Shahrukh acts well but fails miserably in trying to act as a tamilian.Nothing more to say.

you have to see this it s a very very great movie.I don,t have words. The film follows Shekhar Subramanium (Khan), a game designer in London living with his wife (Kapoor) and son (Verma). He designs a motion sensor-based game in which the villain is more powerful than the hero. The villain escapes from the game and begins to track down Lucifer (Verma), the only player to have defeated him. Ra.One was co-produced by Eros International and Red Chillies Entertainment, and was expected to release on June 3, 2011. However, the release was delayed to the Diwali weekend of October 26, 2011 due to extensive post-production work. it was announced that the film would be converted to 3D. Red Chillies VFX incorporated the visual effects under the supervision of Hollywood effects technician Jeffrey Kleiser. Ra.One cost an estimated 125 crore (US$24.94 million), making it Bollywood's most expensive film at that time, and India's second-most expensive film after Enthiran. A record amount of 52 crore (US$10.37 million) was spent on marketing. The marketing included a nine-month publicity campaign, brand tie-ups, merchandise, theme-based video games and extensive viral marketing. However, several problems including censorship, soundtrack leaks and copyright issues caused concerns that the film would not be ready for release.

Well Ra.One in overall is a good movie. I would give 7.5/10 to the movie. Shahrukh Khan's acting was alright but his acting in previous movies were better. Kareena, Armaan, Arjun Rampal and other actors played their part. Story line was weak and it a bit of it was inspired from Hollywood movies for example, Tron. I found the concept of the movie really good. Comedy of the movie was also good. Overall it was an family entertainer. But the main thing that Ra.One gave to Indian cinema is to how to promote a high scale movie like Ra.One. We know how Drona became a flop because it was not promoted well and because of other reasons. The other thing that it gave to Indian cinema is the visual effects it was as par as an Hollywood movie. The music of the movie is superb which was done by Vishal- Shekhar and Akon. 'Chammak Challo', 'Criminal', and Raftarein rocked the nation. It is a super- hit from my side.
