Neil, Will and Simon receive an invite from Jay to join him in Australia whilst on his gap year, who promises them it’s ”the sex capital of the world”. With their lives now rather dull compared to their hedonistic school days and legendary lads holiday, it’s an offer they can’t refuse. Once again, they put growing up temporarily on-hold, and embark on a backpacking holiday of a lifetime in an awful car, inspired by Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Will soon finds himself battling with the lads to do something cultural, whilst they focus their attention on drinking, girls, and annoying fellow travelers.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The whole setup for this is pretty lazy, the story is a series of poorly constructed and clunky cutouts that don't really fit with the what made the series and even the first film tick, and the whole thing feels a bit like squeezing the last drops out of a desert-shriveled bladder. Nevertheless, there were still quite a few moments where I cackled my head off, and there was enough of the familiar humour there to make this enjoyable, despite being crap.

This movie was basically a Kevin Hart movie. Predictable plot, really played out gags and guest appearances from familiar faces. If you're a fan of Adam Sandler's poop jokes, this might be a hit for you- if you love the inbetweeners, just forget about it.As far as comedy goes, the inbetweeners is in my top 10 TV series' of all time. I genuinely loved the program and had many good laughs from the first movie. The point is, the jokes came from left field and were unexpected- and that's what made it funny. We have had time to watch every season of the inbetweeners and let the jokes and type of humor marinate for years before the release of this film.If this movie was just a standalone item, I would probably give this a 5/10. Because it's a follow up to one of my favorite television programs of all time I hold it to a much higher standard. For that reason, it deserves an awful 3/10 just so fans don't have to watch this monstrosity.

I enjoyed The Inbetweeners when it was on TV. The show was always very funny and enjoyable, and I was disappointed when the show ended. The Inbetweeners Movie felt like a long episode of the show but nonetheless it was still funny and enjoyable. The same can't be said for The Inbetweeners Movie 2. It was as if the writers were scrapping the bottom of the barrel for laughs and when they couldn't come up with good ideas, they resorted to disgusting and repulsive humour which ruined the movie. It's such a shame because judging from the early trailers which came out, the movie looked very promising and had a lot of potential to be funny. Even the teaser trailer that came out has me laughing my head off.The Inbetweeners Movie 2 sees the immature and socially inept quartet from the show reunite for this sequel which includes Will McKenzie (Simon Bird), Jay Cartwright (James Buckley), Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison), and Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas). This time Will, Simon and Neil head to Australia after Jay invites them to come over as he is enjoying his gap year in Australia. When the gang finally reunite in Sydney, it turns out Jay who is a renowned compulsive liar has told them tall tales of his adventures and endless conquests with hot women when really none of it was true at all. The gang head up to Byron Bay after an old friend of Will's from back home in England Katie (Emily Berrington) invites them to join her in Byron Bay. The gang continuously riles up other travellers including Ben (Freddie Stroma) and Simon is trying to break up with his girlfriend back home Lucy (Tamla Kari) as she has become very possessive of Simon and has severe personality issues. The movie sees the gang endure mishap after mishap while in Byron Bay and across the outback. The Inbetweeners Movie 2 is not a good advertisement for Australia as the movie has lowered itself by reducing the humour to disgusting toilet humour and poor sex jokes. Jokes which involve male genitals, excrement, and over the top crude sex jokes are just not funny at all. It just does not work whatsoever. Unfortunately laughs are too far and few between with brief moments of humour popping up from time to time. In no way does it redeem this movie. Even the ending was very abrupt and leaves you with a very unsatisfying feeling. It was as if the movie has run out of ideas and had decided to end it right there. The Inbetweeners Movie 2 was a totally disappointing and unmemorable experience which ruined any good memories of the show. The show was a memorable and enjoyable classic and I would like to re-watch the show again some day. Even the first Inbetweeners movie was funny, although not the greatest. I don't think there should be any further sequels now as this is far as The Inbetweeners can go. Please don't ruin it for us fans of the show by producing another crappy sequel.4/10.

This film resulted in a manifestation of what I like to call 'a lot of laughing', hence achieved it's raison d'être. Don't eat while watching, you may choke. It has not tried to change the winning formula form the series or the first film yet in my opinion was as enjoyable as any episode if not more so. I hope that long may it continue and look forward to 'Coach Trip: Scotland' or 'Ocean Cruise' when the lads reach their octogenarian era. Having lately seen Neighbors (yes spelt incorrectly), 22 Jump Street and numerous other American comedies I can safely say this has trounced them all without trying too hard. If you haven't already you can stop reading now as these lines are for the requisite 10 line review for IMDb, just buy, rent or go to the cinema and see this film and enjoy.
