This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

This is really a terrible film. The script was too weak and the plot has no strong base at all. There was no suspense or twist in the story. Moreover it was full of unnecessary characters who actually has nothing to do with story. The characters had no definite purpose or consistency of any sort. Some of the characters were doing things which no sense a all,The acting was hilarious, and most of the action scenes was quite lame and totally unprofessional. Even if one can endure the acting of the main characters but the acting of the side characters was a real eye sore. Not recommended.

I really liked this campy, modern-day version of the ancient Greek story of "Orpheus and Eurydice". Likable cast includes Chad Lowe and Kristy Swanson, plus Patrick Bergin and Adam Storke. Throw in some "very punny" tongue-in-cheek dialog, lots of equally "punny" sight gags, and then the comic cameos from Gilbert Gottfried and the entire Stiller family: Dad Jerry, Ben, Amy, and Mom Anne Meara. Unless you're looking for the original (very serious) Greek tragedy, you may like this version. LBCA 2011/09/29

This was an incredible time .... This was my first movie standby, while VERY boring still cool. I spent my time with the 2nd unit, never having met a stuntman or special fx guys nobody really wanted to talk to us paramedics. I think this would have been a terrible two weeks had it not been for the stunt folks being stuck on SUPER MARIO WORLD. I helped them get thru the game and it was on.....Long days on set and even longer nights in the wahweap bar...Although the movie didn't set records, still cool to see both sides. What an amazing amount of manpower and equipment, not to mention the stunt folks risking their health and lives. Thanks to all the TONS of staff that took care of us.Doc

OK, so it's not Oscar winning material, but I don't think it was meant to be. "Highway to Hell" is a fun flick about a couple on their way to Las Vegas to get married. They are eloping and to steer clear of the "authorities", they take a back road that turns into an entrance to hell. Yeah, it's corny but it's very entertaining and very well done. For the most part the acting is very good and the production including scenery and music are top notch. I loved the fact that "Hitler" is played by Gilbert Gottfried! Anne Meara, Ben Stiller, and the lovable Richard Farnsworth are also in the film as well as the late Kevin Peter Hall. As always, Chad Lowe does an A+ performance as "Charlie". I loved "Hell Cop" too. This is a fun movie! (I have not watched this film in over 10 years but I still enjoy remembering it.)This is another film that should be available on DVD. The purchase information shows the VHS tape available in Canada, but it really isn't (out of print). The movie industry would make more money if these old films were made available. There are lots of films I would love to have in my personal collection. This is definitely one of them!
