That was an excellent one.
I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film from beginning to end.
This masterfully crafted story is a must see for and Rocky or Karate Kid fans. You have not trully seen and loved those entire franchises If you do not know the vision of the director.
Saw this in theaters and was blown away. I learned so much about John Avildsen that I didn't realize. It's inspiring and well made. Definitely one of the best documentaries of this genre.
