This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

It is not only a funny movie, but it allows a great amount of joy for anyone who watches it.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

The plot: A teleportation device opens up a wormhole over California, threatening to suck in our entire universe.Termination Point is a stupid movie, but it's not boring. A good argument could also be made that it's a bad movie, but I was still able to watch it to the end. I think that counts for something. Anyone who watches a TV movie starring Jason Priestley and Lou Diamond Phillips probably knows exactly what he or she is walking into, so I probably don't need to give any warnings about quality.Essentially, this is a cheap, poorly acted TV movie, and any attempt to make sense of it is doomed to failure. Luckily, the technobabble is kept a minimum, though some of the scenes are a bit too long. If you've got a degree of patience for that sort of thing (and you're forgiving of cheesy plots), you might be able to wrest some entertainment from this movie.

Termination point is a surprisingly decent B-movie that is well made on a tiny budget and contains solid acting from most involved. Usually made for TV Sc-Fi channel films have terrible plots with the worst actors imaginable to Termination Point really was a nice surprise that was entertaining from start to finish. The plot is reasonable interesting, a scientist creates a teleportation device that works by first sending the person or object to an alternate universe called "null space" before sending them back to earth in a different place. after learning that his device will be used as a military weapon, he steals it and boards a flight. However authorities find out he is on the flight and attempt to shoot it down. Cue the scientist using the device and the plane and it's passengers becoming stuck in null space. Agent Caleb (a decent Jason Priestley) must race against time to get the plane back to earth by finding a second control device while dealing with rogue agents and a race against time. Now the plot is completely ridiculous and has an incredible amount of plot holes but if you suspend your disbelief there is plenty to entertain you here. The film is well shot with strong acting all round. The race against time aspect is handled very well meaning the film goes along at a fast pace. There is plenty of twists and turns as we find out there are rogue agents trying to steal the device for themselves. The only downside is the awful CGI effects but with such a small budget this can be forgiven, especially since the director managed to get such a decent cast. The soundtrack is pretty terrible and is probably recycled from previous Sci-Fi channel films and the ending makes very little sense if you really think about it but Termination Point is a great little turn your brain off film to watch on a Sunday afternoon. Definitely one of the Sci-Fi channels better offerings which will please most B-Movie fans.

Every weekend I look through the list of movies the Sci-Fi channel is showing. I won't deny a lot of them range from silly to just plain awful - wooden acting, cheap special effects, horrible scripts - but in there among the silly stuff are a number of what I call "hidden gems"; movies perfect to lean back in an over stuffed chair with popcorn and a soda and just enjoy the ride. That's how I felt when I finished "Termination Point". It will never gross $100M or win any Oscars, but taken on its own merits it's really quite good. Jason Priestly plays a detective going on vacation with his family when he gets the call to go after a renegade scientist (Lou Diamond Phillips) who has stolen a scientific device. What I especially loved about the movie is that, unlike most modern horror/science fiction movies (especially those that seem to make their way to the Sci-Fi Channel) the "surprise twist" ending doesn't have the monster or killer reviving once again (to show the last two hours you just spent were wasted and evil really wins) but has an uplifting twist where things actually work out better.

I am giving this movie a 6 out of 10 because the acting in the movie was good for a B movie plus there were quite a few veteran actors in this movie that still new how to act. The problem wasn't the acting it was when I saw a preview on the Sci-Fi channel where it was going to be shown this sat. So I went and acquired a copy too watch it so I don't have too get the butchered version from Sci-Fi.The way I see it is that the movie was good the special effects they could of worked on a little more. The story was a little ruff but all in all it was definitely watchable. If you plan too see this wait for the sci-fi showing this sat for it and do not waste your money on buying it.There is one other thing that was a little cheesy that I didn't care for I guess some of the stuff that was going too happen.
