It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

By Far the worst movie i have ever seen! i do not know ow IMDb has even rated it 7.8/10 i would have not even given a 2 for it. Worst film I ever saw recently was "Aloha". Goddamn, that was horrendous. It's amazing I'm still alive after seeing that at home. I had fun tearing that film to pieces. this is even worse

Hoooo....Too very engrossingI don't know if it was the subtle expressions of strangers or stark expressions of protagonist or the desire of the antagonist or what kept this movie going....but it went on and I did not flinch back or took a break....it just got going from the beginning, It could have gone anywhere from anywhere, but still the journey was so engaging that I moved my head forward by an inch each 10 minutes. This had crucified my inhibitions that such a movie can't be made and is difficult to be held on to.This indeed is a brave attempt, from long shots of AAMIR running in streets to close ups showing his despair, every nuance is married with his psychological state. Each thing that he does is actually a reflection of his state of mind, his fear of losing his family overtakes him at times but finally he himself takes the charge and does something which is unrealistic to many yet is attainable. A common man as he is famously termed, becomes a martyr. Yet is termed as a suicide bomber a terrorist that's the irony it shows. It starts with him being accused as a terrorist (police are suspicious about it) and it ends with him being labeled as a terrorist. Oh, what a vicious circle it is.Editing is sublime and so is the cinematography to capture each face each nuance and convey something that in such time conveys many greater things.Kudos to director Raj Kumar Gupta for thinking of making it and Anurag Kashyap who has helped it to surface the way it is.One might like it and many may not. But before giving a judgment, please do see.A must see rating. 4/5

Dr. Aamir Ali is a doctor who arrives at an airport in Bombay after his flight from London. Bikers hand him a cell phone and he receives a call informing him that his family is being held hostage. A fundamentalist Muslim group will not release them until he follows their orders. The terrorists give Ali five hours with which to plant a bomb on a bus, or his family will be executed. They try to convince him of the virtue of the act by showing him the suffering of their people, with the terrible poverty that they are living in. Aamir is a compelling drama from start to finish and Rajeev Khandelwal gives the performance of a lifetime, and director Raj Kumar Gupta shows great promise in his film debut. I look forward to his next movie. A solid 9/10.

Aamir is the harrowing story of a NRI doctor Aamir; who returns to India for better. He was happy, smiling to meet up with his family after years. Little did he expect the kind of ordeal he was going to face on landing in Mumbai. After landing in Airport, while he was trying to take a taxi, two motor cycle borne youth threw a cell phone to him. From there starts the game of Muslim fundamentalists to use him as a media to plant bombs in a bus which they want to blow off. What happens ultimately is not what the extremist thought off. Aamir blows himself up rather than the bus. The extremists could not convince him that he is a Muslim and he should fight for the rights of Muslim. Rather his take was if you want to grow, work hard not get jealous of others who grow. The movie marks the debut of actor Rajeev Khandelwal, with no heroines, songs in the movie and directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the movie is a masterpiece. A movie which is very different from the movies being made today and stands out.
