Awesome Movie

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

This is such a terrible bad take off of king king that was made during our Centennial ,but, it is so bad that it becomes quit entertaining for laughs and jokes.It take itself too seriously .this is what makes it funny.The 3D save this movie,since it was shot in space vision 3D and not converted .There is so much human character development and less Kong action,due to low budgetidus.If Kong invaded north Korea it would of been a democracy today,but it he invades south Korea instead .The big Hollywood actress going up their ,played by Johanna Kerns,is also doing a low budget film about a women's boyfriend who wants to rape her all the time,which is eventually disrupted by king Kong.Funny there is a scene in which a hooker and client is going to her room and is disrupted by king Kong .About near the end of the scene you almost hear the directer say," cut!that needed a little more trimming.You see the captain Kim, played by Nak Hun Lee, claiming that Kong has killed and injured most of his people and yet all you see is Korean extras just running and don't see king smashing and chewing up humans.This Kong ,looks like a stuff toy gorilla, just takes his time scaring the Koreans and smashing building down.This movie is also slow moving too.Tom Rose ,played by Rod Arrants reporter,the boyfriend of the top actress,comes to Korea too to look for the story . the top actress seems not to be so scared of king Kong,as fay Wray was.Other problems Technically is that, for some reason,the beginning credit titles is printed on the left side only making it a bit transparent and the end credits are flat,good for laughs,like Robot Monster.03/21.17 ,7:12pm central,Made a boo boo.The scene where you almost heard the directors voice,cause it was not trimmed enough , is when Tom Brings his Actress Girl friend to Captains Kim's apartment .Near the end of that scene you almost hear the directors voice.

Well, I just had the good fortune to see this movie on the big screen in glorious 3D(although my 3d glasses kept falling off of my regular glasses) and must say that all of the previous posts(with exception of the person who gave it like 9 stars) just did not get this movie and never will. Yes it is bad, terribly bad. Yes the acting sucks etc. Did this detract from my enjoyment of the film? Not a whit. I can imagine that in 2d on a TV the charm could be significantly diminished but in its original 3d glory this is not to "B" missed . I cant fathom all of the bad posts from folks who claim to like this genre of movies. I mean look at the godzilla movies that were coming out at this time frame, pure cheese! Yet I love them just the same! If your idea of a giant monster movie is the Hollywood godzilla or the peter jackson king kong then by all means please skip this. If on the other hand you wish peter jackson would take his next million dollars and sink it into a remake of meet the feebles then you might get a few chuckles out of this movie.

This was intended to be a serious movie which came out at the same time as the big budget remake of KING KONG. I remember as a kid, reading the poster in line at the theater which stated "not to be confused with King Kong", which is hilarious in itself. I ended up walking out (after the dumb guy in the ape suit wrestles the plastic shark in the pool scene) near the beginning and got a refund.If they spent more than $50.00 to make this movie, they were fools.You will be too if you watch this piece of crap.

....don't forget these great parts too! Wow what a BAD flick, I agree w/ about everything the rest said here. Poopoo f/x, Gorilla-gram level suit, acting of the 5th graders school play level, the infamous Balsa Battering ram scene, the breakdancing, flipping the bird APE, the Korean guy putting his gun right Past the camera lense not ONCE but TWICE (same footage), toy tanks that don't move, bad shark fight...oh it's truly THAT bad. By all means check this out if you have a penchant for MSTK type stuff. It's as bad as they all say, if not worse.* for the battering ram scene. What audacity.
