Redundant and unnecessary.

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

Is it a veryyy good film, probably no, but I absolutely fell in love with this film. Sometimes you don't even know why you loved a film, and it is one of those films. Set in the gritty world of C-Grade Sex-Horror films , set in the Mumbai of 80s its a story of two brothers & a girl who changes everything. The director Ashim Ahluwalia really researched well on the porn film industry of those time but as a result the film looks more like a documentary than a full fledged feature film. What hooks you is not the drama but the harsh raw reality of the characters. Our reality is far removed from these people but somehow all these characters look believable. Every single person acts exceptionally well here, but Nawaz is on a different league all together. There are scenes in the film that can teach acting to new acting aspirants. He is just stupendously well here. There is a film towards the end of the film, where he is having tea with biscuits & he is starving most probably, he is so brilliant in that shot that a single scene can make you cry. The leading lady Niharika doesn't have much histrionics to perform, but she is a aptly cast. She is extremely beautiful & there is a inherent innocence in her face. That is why when you see her in a B-Grade film clip at the climax it doesn't look sleazy at all, rather you feel sad for the girl. If you are looking for a real love story of real people watch this, I am guarantee you will become a fan of Nawaz after watching this.

Miss Lovely is very different. It takes you to the world never seen before. It engages you, moves you and makes you think. Like Niharika said, you can't forget this film if you've seen with an open mind.Miss lovely is located in mid 80's. It's about two brothers, Vicky Duggal and Sonu duggal who make sex-horror films. They have very different personalities though. There comes a struggling actress, Pinky in their lives. The movie is all about ehat happens next. The C-grade world is captured just perfectly in this film. The scenes, parties and all other things look very real. Performances are raw. And very realistic. You can feel the same as character on the screen is feeling. Nawazuddin is just brilliant. Anil, Niharika, Zeena, Menaka and other actors have done a splendid work too.The direction, the cinematography and the narrative style is very experimental. Must watch for cinema lovers. A movie of this uniqueness is not very often made.

The film has a good story along with good performances which is the first reason to watch the film. To keep the viewer engaged, the film has a lot of twists till the end. I would not consider this film in any genre but it definitely has so many instances when you will praise the director for his witticism. There are many instances like this which gives you authentic feel of India. The portrayal of the ladies in those days was just perfect. The way that the film involved us in their film activities was something not usual in Indian Films. Coming to the characters, I got attached with Nawajuddin Shiddiki much more than Niharika Singh. All the supporting cast performed extremely well.
