I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

"Rosa" is an animated short film from 2011 and runs for 10 minutes roughly. It is, so far, the only filmmaking effort by Spanish director Jesus Orellana, but I guess if you pay that much attention to detail like he did here, it takes forever to make a movie, even if it is just such a short film. Even if I am not the biggest fan of the style, I cannot deny that the animation in here was really impressive. In terms of the story, is is merely an okay watch. Rosa is the the main character and we follow her as she meets other robot creatures in this futuristic world and keeps fighting them. This whole movie actually screams "full feature", so I would not be surprised if we ever see a 90-minute version of this one adapted by Orellana himself at some point. A great watch for sci-fi lovers, a good watch for everybody else. Thumbs up.

Wow, it's hard to believe than this animated short was done by only one person without budget, mostly because the result itself it's so incredibly well done that it could easily beat many films and animated shorts done by the big studios."Rosa" had a beautiful imagery and a great atmosphere...Even if the plot isn't something very original or complex, it is very well developed, telling a fascinating story which had all the potential to be a feature length film.Even if "Rosa" isn't a life-changing experience, it certainly an impressive effort, worth of recognition.8.5/10
