Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

"The Greenskeeper" takes place in Summerisle Country Club. The assistant greenskeeper Alan hates his job,but the place is owned by his mother and greedy stepfather,so he must work. The evening party at clubhouse turns into bloodshed when the burnt up former greenskeeper a la Cropsy from "The Burning" begins to stalk and kill Alan's sexually active friends...Very tongue-in-cheek slasher comedy with few pretty gory death scenes. The dialogue is wacky as hell and there is a bit of always welcomed female nudity.Sleazy and trashy "The Milkman" fake footage has to be seen to be believed.Overall,"The Greenskeeper" is a vastly enjoyable slasher movie with enough blood and madness to satisfy slasher sub-genre fanatics.7 ball washers out of 10.

I Don't know what to think about this one, first off the acting is kinda split, there are some okay actors and others are bad, but I would not call it good acting. I actually thought the directing was "good" and the script wasn't bad either, so there are some pluses! But one thing I didn't like at all was the ending I thought it was way to much like a scobby doo ending instead of a horror movie ending. This movie didn't have wonderful character development either, I really didn't care about the characters. There are some funny parts, so that helps out the movie. It is a bit gory also, nothing shockingly gory but it has its gory moments! So on a final note I'm going to give this movie a 5.5/10 MAYBE a 6 but probably a 5.5/10

It's really hard to tell if this a spoof or a serious slasher movie. It obviously has an attempt at humor, but the spoofs are lame and poorly directed. Not a good spoof nor a good campy feature. Baseball bigot John Rocker lumbers through a few scenes and the scenes themselves look to be nearly all first-takes. The only entertainment you'll get here is the bad dialog, bad acting, and cheapo sets. I doubt that's what they were aiming for, however. I don't believe this to be THAT clever of a film. Some of the scenes take place at the swanky country club that looks like somebody's back yard in an Atlanta suburb, and the golf course maintenance building scenes look to be a three-walled $100 set with a few cliché gardening props lying around. There's lost of drug references and local flunkie Atlanta DJ Steve Rickman attempts to create a funny country club tennis-pro character. His big scene with the automatic tennis server is minimally funny and proves that just because you're funny on the radio doesn't mean it transfers to the visual medium.

I love John Rocker...I have loved every game he has pitched, and now every movie he has been in. No other American represents the intensity and love for horror that Rocker displays in this movie. I am not a big fan of horror movies....my fancy is more towards the comedies, but this movie just drew me in. The character development and the plot seem to intertwine to create one of the best shocking movies of the year. I was a skeptic I admit since I am from Atlanta and this movie was taped and filmed here. But this should not be a problem as this film makes itself available to all....and in a very shocking and horrific way. The ending will shock everyone that sees it and I hope people will watch it over and over again in order to truely understand what the meaning of this movie is. I rate it a 9 out of 10 and a MUST see. Especially among Atlantians!
