I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Definitely not a cult classic in the making, but not disappointing, either. The story isn't bad, the acting is passable, and some of the special effects are surprisingly effective for what looks like a flick shot on a truly shoestring budget. One miss, though... chocolate syrup only looks like blood in *black-and-white* movies. It doesn't work so well in color, and there are a couple of scenes where it was apparently used in this context.Horror fans looking for something "typical" for, say, Halloween might consider this one. It isn't awful, though it's not the sort of movie that will make much of an impact. Likely to be forgotten after a week or two, no doubt, but not a bad way to pass a slow hour and a half, either.

I've been a B horror fan for well over 30 years. This movie has many pluses and many minuses. Very cool lighting. Interesting artsy shots.Great sunrise and sunset scenes.Scenes that are thrown in for no reason where you are thinking WTF was that for? The first 20 mins seem kinda pointless. By 45 mins into it you are watching with some true interest providing you made it this far.Hence the term "patience is a virtue"There is true dark horror in this to be sure as well as the Indy must have hot babe tittie shots. I will not give away the movie. All more I will say is that given the mediocre budget I'll give em a B for effort and anyone that enjoys late 50s to mid 70s B horror should try to catch this one. On the otherhand,if your brand of horror is exclusively House of 1000 corpses or Land of the dead, you will probably want to pass. My score a 7.

Not terrible. Adequate atmosphere, tolerable acting and directing, decent dialog and characterization, some (but not TOO much) gore--in short, better than a lot of indy-horror one sees...you know, the kind obviously produced by fifteen-year-olds with more hi-tech video and sound equipment--and maybe weed--than talent."Hellbound: Book of the Dead" is no "Exorcist" or even "Night of the Demon", but if you're a fan of the genre, and looking for something watchable that you haven't seen before, give this one a look--preferably at night, in the dark; in other words, best when you provide your own ambiance. Otherwise, look further.
