if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

This movie was a choice on Amazon. I had noticed it but never watched it. Finally, I did watch it. I loved it.This is a story about a young man who is going to have brain surgery the next morning at 10am. She is working in an ice cream parlor. They meet. What happens between 3 pm until 10 am is both romantic and tragic. My take on Elliot and Cloye is somewhat different than other reviews. They meet in the ice cream parlor after Eliott had to stop in the parking lot to throw up. He goes in and asks Cloye if he can use the bathroom. She hands him the key. She is attracted to him. He is in another zone. Imagine you were there knowing you would probably die the next day. He wants something sweet to drink. She makes it. They talk. She is having a showing of her pictures that evening and invites him. He admires one of her pictures and leaves with that picture. He has no intention of going. That evening he is sitting on his wooden floor surrounded by trash bags full of his stuff. A lonely scene. He decides to go to the showing just to do something. Clowe is surprised but happy to see him. She invites him to eat at a mexican restaurant. (I know, eating mexican food before brain surgery. But, hey, it's a movie) I really love the restaurant scenes. They enter into one of those kind of goofy conversations men and women have when they first meet. He says stuff that is really not funny but Cloye laughs anyway. It is clear during these scenes that Cloye is becoming really attracted to Elliot. In fact, by the end of the meal I think Cloye is in love with Elliot. What happens outside the restaurant is amazing. I don't remember a scene that conveyed so much meaning. They are parting, Elliot is saying the usual;"I had a nice time, thanks a lot". and some goofy stuff to go along with that. Cloye looks somewhat amused at his awkwardness. She knows at that point that she really does love him and has no intention of letting him go. She enters her phone number into his cell and tells him to call. She then steps forward and puts her arms around him. For me, this embrace is the magic moment. The look on Cloyes face as she embraces Eliott says it all. As she leaves she looks back with a little wave and a loving look.Think of it. She is leaving with a wonderful feeling. She is in love and is looking forward to a wonderful relationship with Elliot. Elliot on the other hand knows he will never see Cloye again. He sits in his car and cries. And it goes from there. The ending is for you to decide.

I appreciate natural dialogue and personal interactions captured on film, as this one succeeds in. There aren't the contrivances you see in most Hollywood romances. The lead characters do have chemistry, and it's realistically tentative rather than the lightning-bolt kind. But I just didn't find the them interesting enough to recommend this movie. The viewer isn't really given enough background to form a strong feeling for the male protagonist, just shown that he's in a very precarious situation. And the female character has a strong SoCal intonation and does that thing with the breathless laugh mid-sentence. I just couldn't get invested.

I've been waiting for this movie since I watched the trailer 3 months ago. The song used for the trailer 'Search and Destroy by Sanders Bohlke', also used in the films background kept me hold on this movie for so long and finally I got to watch it over an exhausted weekend. The film is very simple and moves silently and then takes pace when Chloe enters. The beautiful thing about the film is its optimistic flow, even though the theme is quite serious. 22 old Elliot Carson on the day before he has surgery to remove a brain tumor, he meets Chloe Webb, a young photographer. She invites him to her art show and since they meet at an art show, their night goes together with parties at friend's house, hiking, biking. Their relation is going strong every moment and even Elliot forgetting everything enjoys them with Chloe. When Elliot breaks the news to Chloe about his surgery, Chloe breaks down into grief. They both knows, in a short span of time they spent together, they have fallen for each other. And Elliot has an uncertain future.I'm always fond of small budget, intense subject and some outstanding performance genre films. This movie is 86 minutes long (or short excluding end titles :)), Budgeted $50,000 (estimated) and awesome performance by Writer, Actor Parker Croft. Debutant Emilia Zoryan looks promising as well. both are confident, talented actors and have a bright future. Supporting cast does their job well. worth mentioning Cinematography by writer/director Conrad Jackson and Sound Department. Every song used in the movie is nice and situational. The almost end scene when Elliot and Chloe goes to her room and you get to see Parker's powerful acting skills, the start of 'Search and Destroy' song almost makes goose bumps.Performance wise the lead pair scores best. Emilia is so stunning and graceful that in all her scenes, it's hard to keep your eyes off her. I think in the beginning, the pace of the film could have been more faster. Few of the characters and scenes looks rigid and mechanical. And even though 86 minutes, it could have explored more of Elliot and Chloe's relation. But still the film is quite nice and peaceful.'Falling Overnight' has won 9 awards so far and out of them Parker Croft has grabbed 7 Best Actor awards. I look forward for these young actors in upcoming projects. This film has to be experienced at least once. I love the Romance, Drama, Music and you get all of them in it in some satisfying ways.

I've seen the trailer a while ago and thought this might be a good movie. Didn't really expect anything super special, just something you consider watching whenever. Yesterday I finally decided to watch the film, simply because I felt like watching a Drama. The first thing you hear is this song. I've never heard it before and I really liked it (Shaun Rust - On Your Side). When a movie starts off with a great song I just get excited about what's to come. Music in a movie is always really important to me, I did like all of them here. They were perfectly chosen. Then there's the story. Though it is a Drama, having parts where you're in tears, it does have some happy moments where you smile while watching it. When a film gets you to show emotions, in this case several ones, it's a huge compliment to it. The story is fantastic. The ending could have gone differently but I like when you have to think about how it's going on yourself. That also makes a movie fantastic, when it gets you to think about the rest. This film is definitely a must see. I don't often tell friends you HAVE TO watch this and that movie but I will with this one. It's simple, yet amazing.
