Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Who Made The Potatoe(!) Salad could be the worst movie ever made. Someone could tell me it was written using a Mad Libs pad and I would believe them. You know how everything in a movie is supposed to contribute to the advancement of the plot? Well, Damon "Coke" Daniels didn't bother with that here. Expect lots of randomness that leads nowhere, and repeated jokes that weren't funny the first time. This movie doesn't embarrass me because I'm black. This movie embarrasses me because I'm human. One thing that you will continue to ask yourself all during, and long after you watch this movie is, "How did this script get green lit?" Not even worth of a bad movie night. This will surely be one of BET's Lackluster Films of the Week. Avoid at all costs!

Funny As Heck, Who Made The Potatoe SaladI know this movie had a billion stereotypes in it, but I'm sorry, I laughed through the entire thing. I had never heard of this movie but a family member had it on tape, so I watched it expecting it to be wack. Jaleel White as a cop did not strike me as interesting, but as soon as this dude proposed to his girlfriend and went home with her to meet the family, the nonsense began. This was some of the dumbest entertainment ever from butts sticking to plastic couches being pressured into eating pork the prisoner boyfriend's talk about Tiger style, the grandparents etc. It was some of the most stupid funny ever, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My hand didn't leave my forehead and the grin never left because this movie was such a waste of time but in a good way. I wouldn't suggest buying it, but I would suggest renting it on a day when you're off work, bored, and need something to tickle your funnybone. The movie was hilarious! I was dying laughing pretty much the whole movie. My Girlfriend and I were watching the movie and we were cracking up!! The cast is great. This movie is a definite must-see.danceability Amsterdam

This movie was painful to watch. The comedic scenes were at times awkward and never, not even one time, funny. All this movie has time was perpetuate stereotypes, and waste 90 minutes of my life. Steer clear of this at all costs. I wasn't expecting fine cinema, or Oscar worthy performances. I was expecting a bad b movie. Those types of movies are funny to me at times but this wasn't even that. It wasn't cheesy it was just offensive, horrible, badly written, and just flat out worthless. If you paid me, I would never watch this again. Please please burn this movie, and I hope to never see a copy of it again. My goodness.

Jaleel is a wonderful, handsome romantic comedy lead. This movie was so enjoyable(especially on Thanksgiving Day, which is one of the big funny scenes), that my family and I watched it several times during the holiday, and cracked up. I know there are cuss words, "N" words, and all, but in the context of the material, it is familiar and just downright funny. As a matter of fact, this movie makes great entertainment when people come by and want to have a drink, popcorn, and laugh. The acting was great. The soundtrack is really "off the chain"... I loved it. Would like to purchase a CD with the music on it. It's all original music. The scene with Jaleel alone at the train station could really be a music video because the vocalist is hot. I think it's among some of the best work I've scene Clifton Powell do, and he and Ella Joyce have great chemistry. Ella seems to be the voice of calm and reason in this film and she is great also, along with Reynaldo Rey. It's great to see him in a film. I will watch everything this director does. I like his films. Who Made The Potatoe Salad is entertaining.
