To me, this movie is perfection.
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
The acting in this movie is really good.
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
This movie is only good for its martial arts action scenes and the amazing talent which is Daniel O'Neill. His performance and choreography is awesome and i can't wait to see more of him. He alone is what carried and made this movie. My 10/10 is purely on the Martial Arts Action scenes, some of the best movie choreography of all time.
wow.when it comes to martial arts movies, i'll watch (and enjoy) almost anything. but wow. this movie is truly awful. from conception to direction to acting to editing. Every action movie cliché is trotted out but executed so poorly it takes a minute to even figure out what they were trying to do.when he's allowed to do his thing, the lead seems to have serious fighting and gymnastic skills but they are unfortunately wasted in this unwatchable student exercise. i couldn't even make it to the end.save yourself. just watch ong bak again.
This movie is not bad at all! Its a very low budget film made by some amazingly talented stunt men in Asian Cinema. The basic plot revolves around a few foreigners in Thailand who gamble away their money and decide to make some more by kidnapping the daughter of a rich millionaire. Very ordinary plot by any standards. The comedy is good but the timing and delivery is very poor. Then, when you're just about to leave the theater and curse the fact that you wasted 10 minutes of your life, you get a glimpse of some good action from Daniel O' Neill. That leaves you pondering over whether the movie is really that bad. As you watch more, you realize that the acting gets worse, the comedy gets a little better but the action becomes glorious!Of course, if you aren't interested in Martial arts, then this film is going to be a completely forgettable experience. Considering that the creators were all part-time stunt men who wanted to break big, I really do have respect for them. I want to see Daniel O' Neill in more movies.
Four friends, who came to visit Thailand had run afoul with gangsters who demanded their money back, in which the four friends had lost in gambling. The gangsters had come so close in chopping off their hands when they suggested that they'd pay back the money in a week's time. The leader surprisingly agreed. They'd tried many things to get the money, but none seem to work. One member even resort to teaching teakwondo to schoolchildren! And another member had to be in fights but after deductions on his collections, the money was not that much.So after exhausting all possible ways of collecting money, they decided to kidnap a daughter of a rich conglomerate.Fun ensued! They'd have to ward off bodyguards, escaped from police detections. And worst of all, they have to take care of the girl they kidnapped! There a a lot of action scenes, lots of jokes, but sans storyline. Well, just the perfect recipe for a film suitable to be watched on a lazy weekend!
