Making Good Season 1

Kirby goes to Utah State Prison and volunteers to conduct an inmate orchestra. With the help of the hardworking music program leader, Kirby helps the band prepare a Christmas medley for the holiday recital.

In Sanford, Florida, Kirby joins a nationwide group of kids mowing lawns for the elderly, people with disabilities, veterans, and single mothers. In order to win the coveted black t-shirt, Kirby must complete the "50 yard challenge." Though it usually takes a couple months for kids to win the shirt, Kirby decides to take on the challenge in just 3 days.

Kirby saddles up and trots down to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to join a therapeutic riding ranch. Kirby has always loved horses, but he quickly learns it takes more than he was thinking to keep a riding ranch going.

Kirby travels to Miami to join a group giving veterans access to the ocean and the healing powers of the water. Kirby meets with the veterans, who share their love of scuba diving and how it saved them from isolation after returning home from service. After learning how to be a buddy diver for disabled divers, Kirby joins the crew for a dive on the reef to see that it is about much more than just scuba diving.

Kirby heads to Madison, WI, to join a group giving free bikes to disadvantaged kids. Kirby find some perfect bikes to give away, but first he has to fix, clean, and prepare his bikes for the lucky kids.

Kirby heads to Palm Springs, California, where he joins an organization that operates a wheelchair-accessible hot air balloon. Kirby learns how much hard work goes into inflating, flying, and packing up the balloon, and how lives can be changed with a ride in the sky.

In San Francisco, Kirby joins a group of dog lovers that help senior dogs find new homes. On his first day, Kirby gets up close and personal with the sometimes messy world of senior dog care. Can he get these dogs ready for adoption day?

In South Carolina, Kirby volunteers for a charity that rebuilds homes in disrepair. After gathering materials and packing the trailer full of gear, Kirby helps clear weeds, fill holes in the floor, and reconstruct a broken roof.

In the wake of Hurricane Florence, Kirby travels to Wilmington, North Carolina, to join a team of BBQ pitmasters who deliver hot meals to victims. While Kirby helps prepare and distribute meals, he gets a firsthand look at the devastation.

Kirby travels to San Francisco to join a restaurant run entirely by at-risk youth. From cooking and serving to entertaining, Kirby learns how to put together the perfect dinner--and how working at the cafe has changed many kids' lives for the better.
