Each week UTR host Tom Daldin explores everything from Michigan restaurants and museums, to cool businesses and neighborhoods. Well, we did it before … and it was such a big hit … we’re doing it again. (it’s called logic) That’s right … it’s time for our second-ever UTR Michigan Festival Special. Hang onto your corndog, cotton candy, and elephant ears because we’re gonna have some serious festival fun. We start off in Holland for a festival with more color and characters than you can shake a wooden shoe at. Then we’ll show you how a little instrument can have such a huge following, and how asparagus captures the hearts, minds, and stomachs of an entire town. Episode 12 - Outdoorpalooza

It's our first ever and official "Outdoorpalooza" show! Grab your tent because we start our adventure at the Pinckney Recreation Area with some camping, hiking, and s'mores. Then we hit Au Sable in Oscoda for canoeing, and explore the tops of the trees in Traverse City. Plus, we see some classic cabins in Walhalla and catch a Wild Rose Brown Trout on Pere Marquette.

Episode 11 - Holly / Traverse City

We head to historic Holly for a tiny railroad that’s bigger than life, a store with mounds of Michigan-made matter, and a place with so much atmosphere and great food, that you just might want to be a ghost there someday. Then we head north to Traverse City for a food truck foodie phenomenon, a walk in the woods with a talking tree, and a classic slice of Michigan life.

Think a single cab ride can change the way you see and feel about the city of Detroit? On this action-packed edition of UTR, we jump into a cab with Oneita Jackson and rediscover this great city. Oneita is an award-winning journalist and editor who quit her job, bought a cab, hit the gas, and turned into one of Detroit's most outspoken ambassadors.

We'll take you to a thrilling event where people actually run "outside" when they hear thunder. We'll also visit a place where strange creatures from Planet Earth about all around you. And if that's not enough, we'll even introduce you to a homegrown publisher who's helping Michigan writers gain popularity, and show you a super chef whose greatest creations will be the chefs of tomorrow.

Just north of Kalkaska, we found some crazy, cool, and colorful concrete creations, and in Cadillac, we had a meal that not only filled our stomachs...it warmed our hearts. Then, we used a farm and a fork to meet a blue cow in Big Rapids, snacked like superheroes with Herman's Boy in Rockwell, and ended with a classic cocktail at Nick Fink's Tavern in Comstock Park.

Episode 7 - Alpena / Grand Rapids

We start off in awesome Alpena with some outstanding art that's up in a loft. We also meet a talented young couple who are bringing fresh food to Alpena, and even go to a surreal place where you can find a real lot of fossils. Then we to great Grand Rapids for a trip back in time, a finer diner, and a Michigan-made guitar that will rock your socks off.

Episode 6 - UP Adventure
First Aired: January. 15,2015

We head north to show you why our state’s upper half is a place you just have to visit. The first part of our odyssey takes us all the way to the top of the mighty Mackinac Bridge. Then we eat with an army of Antlers and fall in love with Tahquamenon. We'll even visit a ranch you’ll ‘bear’ly believe, and prepare pasties like pros.

Episode 5 - Yum, Yum Eat em Up (Restaurants Mash Up Show)
First Aired: January. 01,2015

If you’re on a diet … run from your TV now … because it’s time for another patented UTR Best of Restaurant Specials. This time we dip deep into season three to bring you some of our favorite food finds. We‘ll have some heart and soul on a roll in Saginaw; the grooviest breakfast ever in St. Ignace and a seriously good sandwich in Oak Park. Then we jump to Jackson for a true taste of Texas Barbecue; Kawkawlin for a complete turkey dinner with all the trimmings and finally Brutus for a place with a crazy name that serves fantastic fried chicken. So grab your appetite and get ready to enjoy some incredible eats that can’t be beat on Under the Radar Michigan. It’s mmm mmm good to live in Michigan!

Our first-ever Christmas special!! On this episode of UTR, it’s our first-ever Holiday Extravaganza where we show you some of our favorite Holiday happenings around Michigan. First, we take you to a parade that’s so bright, you can see it from space. Then we show ya where Santa learns how to do his jolly thing. We’ll also take a train to the North Pole and go way back in time for a classic holiday night. We even wrap it all up with more big bright lights. So, get ready for some holiday mirth and merriment on Under the Radar Michigan. Ho Ho Hope you like it!

Episode 3 - Grand Rapids / South Haven - “Drive FASTER!!!”

We gravitate back to Grand Rapids for a family that’s juicing their way to a new and healthier life. We also eat one of the best tacos ever made by a man and visit a zoo that’s so cool, you’ll wish you were an animal. Then, we head to one of the most beautiful beach towns south of Heaven - South Haven. Then we’ll introduce you to a couple who fell in love over their love of food.

Episode 2 - Plymouth / Port Huron - “I Get a Kick Outta You”

We’re in Plymouth with a new “green” way to tour downtown, a new sport on the golf course you’ll get a kick out of, and a family that loves Plymouth so much, that they opened ‘three’ restaurants there. Then we head for Port Huron to watch boats float with Freighter Frank. We’ll also discover a city that’s moving into a bright future without forgetting its brilliant past.
