It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

I was scrolling through Netflix and ran across a movie that I hadn't seen or heard of in the Horror Genre, finally! I tuned in not realizing it was Danish or about Zombies. It was a pleasant surprise. I am not saying this is anything perfect but if you've seen everything, it's a good addition. There was time given to establish the characters, some say too long, I thought it was perfect. The only downfall of this movie is the stupid decisions made by characters. This is why I gave it a 6 out of 10. I would love to see more international films like this! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

By now, you probably know the plot: a family of four is quarantined inside their neighborhood as a mysterious flu-like virus begins to spread. The good: the film is nicely shot and doesn't have the cheapness of a low-budget. The acting was very good and the characters (for the most part), were not stereotypes. The bad: the film isn't really very scary. A lot of the supposed scary scenes were shot in broad daylight in bright sunshine, which really didn't scare me. Though the film wasn't very scary, what really ruined the movie for me was this...Unfortunately, the film was ruined for me by one monumentally stupid decision taken by one of the characters which pretty much set the entire zombie apocalypse in motion.I won't spoil what that decision was or when it happened, but when characters do insanely stupid things in a movie, it really takes me out of the film and ruins it. Had the zombie apocalypse happened in some other way, that would have worked much better. All in all, a decent effort which would have been much better had it not been for the stupidity of one of the main characters.

It's awful. Don't be fooled by anyone who says otherwise. Yes, it starts really well, the use of light and the beginning of the movie got my attention, but then it suddenly becomes incredibly stupid, absurd and clichéd.For example, there's this scene where a girl's mom dies, and seconds after she's almost having sex with a guy she JUST MET THE DAY BEFORE! Seriously? Who wrote that? That same mom turns into a zombie, but she had been infected for at least a day, whilst two other girls get bitten and turn in like five minutes. Come on!Some zombies are chasing two characters by running, but conveniently decide to walk to chase some other characters in order to let them get home safely and lock the doors. One guy steals a box of food supplies from a random woman, only to toss it away minutes after! This movie is a bad joke. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to like it and I actually thought it was going to be great for the sole reason that this isn't an American film. But it's horrible and the ending is just offensive to what's acceptably realistic in movies...

No spoilers. Right off the top I'll say it was pretty decent little film... Didn't care for the clip from the climax that plays during the opening credits. Don't understand why the director felt the need to share that 50 seconds with the audience. Maybe a Danish thing. Did very much like the camera work and shot selection used by the director, felt right there pretty much, in the scene. Felt personal, worked pretty well throughout. And they spend the first 10 minutes just getting to know the characters a little. Does it well enough to point out their character flaws without having to rub your nose in them. Showed real patience given it's only a 90-minute film, and no CGI so they focused on their characters and the story, which worked. Also thought they over did the lighting. Mostly shot indoors and at night so darker would have worked better. However as the story progresses and the pace picks up the cast lags. The characters are a bit too subdued/lethargic as their world becomes unhinged with their survival increasingly in doubt. They should have been wired when instead they looked and acted a bit stoned. For people on the edge of the abyss they certainly lacked for nervous conversation. Think really scared people would have talked more.As often happens in this genre the writer mistakenly believes the characters must make bad/stupid decisions for things to happen. Myself I never like watching stupid people. Prefer when the situation forces the characters to respond rather than vice versa. Have some of each here. Did not care for the climax much or for the ending, expected more, characters deserved a better ending. All said not a bad little film, pretty good actually. Obviously a small budget but think it worked in their favor, worth a watch
