When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

I start out by giving a round of applause (preferably to his face) to Efren Ramirez, Bravoooooo he does a great job of dissing his own kind, way to go com-padre.He should get an Oscar for his acting, I hope Mel Gibson gives him the part of Judah in The Revenge of Christ II.Saying that this is a cliché is a understatement. The scene where the Nazi breaks into the main character's house was my favorite part, there Mexicans are dissed to follow right after the dissing of PuertoRicans. I couldn't continue watching after that, it was too obnoxious. If you have respect for society do not watch this!

Zack Bradley (Dane Cook) is a slacker who knows all the tricks and popular with everybody. That is except for Vince Downey (Dax Shepard) who has become head cashier of the store and winner of seventeen consecutive "Employee of the Month" awards. Amy (Jessica Simpson) is a new cashier who only dates "Employee of the Month" winners. Zack and Vince compete to get Amy's attention by trying to win the award. There is something annoying about Dane Cook. There's a side of meanness and arrogance to his character without the joy. It's a major problem. At least Dax Shepard is suppose to be unlikeable. If they do a switcharoo, it would vastly improve the situation. Jessica Simpson at least smiles a whole lot. So she's more than a pair of boobs. She's a pair of boobs with a smile. There's also Andy Dick, and Harland Williams. It's a case of more isn't always more. They are funny as the wacky guy in the group. Put them together and they step on each other's jokes.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this movie was way better then I expected. Some of the humor is a little subtle for what you might expect. One scene I liked was toward the end when the box boy gang is coming down the main aisle with Zack next to the Andy Dick character who can barely see thru his coke bottle glasses. Dick starts veering off to the side and Zack puts his arm out and pulls him back and they continue on as if realigning someones walk is a normal event. The movie isn't intended to reinvent Shakespeare but some of the harsher reviewers seem to judge it in that light. I thought Jessica Simpson was a good choice for her part. Any lack of acting ability fit the part just fine and works. It was a pleasant and funny movie to watch and never resorted to throwing in four letter words just to do it like so many movies will do.

Enjoyable even if not "super original". Just well done.Shows better development of relationships in the dating scene than most movies.Did notice one hidden thing: The store manager is Glen Gary. His brother is the owner, Glen Ross. This is a tip of the hat to the movie, "Glen Gary, Glen Ross", a realistic and great movie. Notice that the brothers share the same first name but have different last names? I'd watch it again. I liked the way they treated Jessica Simpson, as someone with intelligence. She also is portrayed as a real girl, who can forgive weaknesses and appreciates growth. This is kind of like "Columbo", the series about the detective who finds the minutest of details, foiling the best laid plans of mice and men. Like "Columbo", little things thicken beyond our control and can really mess up someone's plot.
