Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

I learned in 5th grade English that I can't write a paragraph all I do is what they call run on sentences... with that in mind someone should have told the writer(s) of this hunk of $h!t they couldn't write a movie!!! Much of the story felt like a jigsaw puzzle without all the pieces it was like they had a good concept from the first but they didn't fully understand what they had it made me wonder if they took time to look at the original script or even watch the first movie there was a few remarks made to the first but they didn't answer any questions that were raised from the first movie.If I could have truly graded this it would have gotten either no stars of 1/2 A star just for the fact that they somehow got Lance Henriksen to be in this movie and 1/2 star for a credit like this "The characters, screamers and events depicted in this motion picture are fictitious. Any similarity to actual persons or screamers, living or dead is purely coincidental and not intended. No screamers were harmed in the making of this motion picture" that's the only way it gets a 1 star rating.

Screamers (the first one) was great and Peter Weller did a fine job in an overall depressing and dark science fiction film. This straight-to-video sequel tells the story of a rescue team coming to the same planet after a distress signal is received.In an attempt to tell the story of a struggle for survival, the rescue team are attacked in a sequence of events that is much like that seen in Aliens. In fact, a grey-haired Lance Henriksen makes an appearance as a mysterious ally.The special effects are not greatly impressive and look like they were done by a kid on a computer who, to his credit, knows what he's doing, but should satisfy most people.The trivia says that a lot of the costumes and sets were made from things such as egg cartons and vacuum cleaner parts, which I can believe.Watch only if you want to see a little more of the Screamers universe. Most of what is going to happen can be anticipated and it has one or two little light scares.

I really looked forward seeing the sequel to screamers, as the first one is a b-movie scifi-marvel. But what did I get? This? Non-class-pseudo-actors given a piece of inconsistent trash to make a movie from??? Everything is stolen from great scifi-masterpieces like alien 1 and 2. You may credit this as "hommage" but a movie as bad is just an insult to those movies. The story is nonexistent, read the other criticisms below for details of how insanely stupid and at the same time boring the script was written. You can foretell every minute in the movie as it is so plain obvious. In how dire financial problems was Lance Henriksen to make even this short appearance?Utter waste of time. Just watch it if - like someone suggested below - you want to see it as a scifi-parody. Even if it's bad.

I saw the original Screamers (1995) when I was 11 years old. Though I admit both the old and new have their flaws, they were both entertaining movies. This one had updated graphics, nice CGI. Not the greatest acting in the world but definitely enough to keep the movie entertaining. Some people pride themselves on everything having to be too perfect. In my opinion this movie has everything it needs. An attractive woman as the main character, action, intrigue, mystery, and even a couple twists. It is a somewhat predictable movie, but entertaining nevertheless. I have it 8/10 because A.) Gina is very attractive. B.) Action. C.) I loved the original and it was great to see a sequel. D.) The ending!
