Feed (2006)

Sadly Over-hyped

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

Feed is one of those flicks that you must have seen. And not for the entertaining or suspense because it isn't an excellent flick but it will surely shock you. The effects used for the fat lady just looks so real but it isn't of course. The story is rather simple, one do feeds fat girls to make them fatter because he has a trauma as a child with his mother. But when a copper tracks him down he's after him but it is of course not all that easy because people are allowed naturally to feed others. So we do follow the cop doing research over the web, and we do see shocking images. I know that a lot were shocked watching Feed. I must say that it's better to leave food in the kitchen because the possibility to vomit is rather high seeing this shocker. Weird flick.Gore 0/5 Nudity 1,5/5 Effects 3/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 0/5

...but then I watched it back in 2006 and I wrote this:"It's been a while since a movie managed to disturb and sicken me as much as "Feed" did. For that fact alone I gave it a lot of credit. The aspect of the story where an Australian cop goes to America on his own and manages to solve the whole case without almost any form of assistance, is perhaps a bit implausible, but it does provide a good set-up for the ending of the movie. With regards to what it is what he does and how he manages to get away with it. Damn solid and sick movie. Nice modern look, feel & editing to it. Extremely funny choice of music too."This sure is a movie I wouldn't mind re-watching again some day.

Yes it is vile, disturbing, and all kinds of wrong but it was never dull and it kept me on the edge of my seat in its shocking value. This was like The Silence Of The Lambs on steroids and viagra and if you want to go on a diet this movie will definitely make you lose your appetite. I thought the acting was pretty strong and it moved at a rapid pace with an bizarre and unsettling story about a sick and disturbed man feeding women to death and storing their fat and a cop who discovers his psychotic antics and wants to bring him down before the next woman becomes another victim. There was a lot of graphic sex scenes in this film that it almost feels like your watching a fetish porno film and that makes it definitely not for everyone and definitely not for the squeamish, so beware. The director has some balls making a movie like this and I have to give it to the cast and crew for having some guts to be apart of it and delivering the goods for the most part. The ending had a pretty twisted twist and makes the movie all the more horrific but bold, this flick is messed up! Overall I recommend it with caution but I will never watch it again ever and it was pretty sleazy and tasteless but I've seen worse movies that were pointless. More of a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

This film was so terrible that i actually couldn't bear it any longer, i turned it off. I'm not sure why this film has so many good reviews and an overall above average score, but if you thought it was terrible, your not alone. The acting was awful, the low budget look didn't help and the dialogue seemed to of been written by a child. The soundtrack also seemed completely out of place as they tried to squeeze as many death metal songs in, in an attempt to improve this terrible film i can only assume. What else was wrong with it? Well, what was right with it. A good idea has been sabotaged in a terrible attempt to create what i can only assume was meant to be a film? A plus side of it is, i guess, it gave off a good vibe and i was intrigued,until i turned it on.The premise of the film seemed promising but it failed to deliver and after a while i gave in and turned it off.
